This place used to be a gem, but the quality and service have gone down. Ingredients are mixed in the bowls. Theres no spirit in the staff and service is bad - staff seems bothered when someone is walking in and ordering two hours before closing time, and you literally have to shout for the staff to show up (while they are busy "socializing" with each other in the back - just so you know, the activities you do in the back are reflected in the mirror from the fridge). Little structure once the staff shows up - I had two different staff members come asking for my order while the first one had already taken it, busy preparing in the back. #2 seemed upset that she had to come out from the back at all, and made it well known that she is clocking out. The burrito was very thin, maybe because I requested no rice - but paid same price as the person after me which was twice in size. This place need a manager on board to increase the service, consistency and quality again to what it once was. As for me, I'm not risking it and will not come back...

The restaurant has been drastically downsized, the food weight is gone (long gone according to the employee that served me today (Jun 29, 2025) and the food quality is a bit down compared to the past. In my many, MANY past visits itās never been a problem customizing my burrito to my liking and still leave me feeling like Iām paying a fair price. Ever since the weight disappeared the employees have always been fair and have let me have just a little bit extra meat since my burrito consists of; tortilla, meat, cheese and hot sauce (and nothing else. However this was apparently not possible to do any more. Leaving me with a overpriced burrito with a lot of cold cheese on it. A 180° turn from my experiences with El Camino in the past. Might still be a good spot for most, but for us picky eaters itās no longer a good spot.
My old review; This place has the best pulled pork burritos Iāve ever had. Must-visit every time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen visiting a large city the food possibilities are endless! We had our fill of the local fare and wanted some fast food, so we stumbled upon this place. The service was great. You build your own plate and pay by weight. We were satisfied our meals. I chose medium spice and could have gone with the hot spice. Husband who likes off the chart spicy chose the hot and told me it was fine but he could have had more heat! The place was clean and business was steady but not overwhelming when we visited. We noticed a lot of take out being prepped and set out on the counter for delivery service. Plenty of seating for indoor dining. This place was close to the Opera House and Munch museum...
