After feeling a bit overwhelmed by the energy at Alex Sushi, we found our way to Sabi Sushi Vika
We opted for a familiar test: soft shell crab. Alongside that, we ordered the Midori menu plus karage and gyoza. A good amount of variations that promised an exciting journey for our taste buds and for our empty stomachs as well.
While our culinary journey at Sabi Sushi was filled with flavorful moments, I must admit we had some mixed feelings about the service.
My son requested for ginger beer, only to be informed that they had run out. In an attempt to offer an alternative, they suggested regular beer (sans alcohol though) — a rather unusual substitute for ginger beer, we thought. It left us wondering if there might have been a slight communication hiccup, perhaps due to the staff's proficiency in Norwegian.

One dish was "forgotten" and would come right up. 15 minutes later my dinner companion completed her dish. I got up and talked to the staff. My dish was not even started on. Canceled it and ask for the bill.
No hello upon arriving, random service during the stay, no apologies or corrections after their mistakes - verbally or on the bill, no thank you upon receiving payment, no goodbye...
Read moreGenki is a great place to eat lunch or dinner. At lunch time you even get to try a bento 🍱. You can choose between vegetarian and regular bento. It tastes really good. At dinner time you can get more types of good tasting food. I recommend a Gyosa for starters. Everything I have tasted there so far is unique and delicious. Genki also have a great view and you can sit inside or outside. The interior/ furnitures and similar looks good too. It feels nice and friendly with a lot of Totoro and Pikachu pillows and interesting pictures on the walls. The ones that are working there seem to speaking both Norwegian and English and most likely Japanese too. So the communication goes smoothly too. They are very friendly and good...
