Yo! Sushi — Restaurant in Oslo

This is right In the middle of ostbanehallen and looked kind of nice for me to give it a try. The server was really friendly and helpful in guiding us to seats and explaining how the system works.

But other than that I was left totally disappointed by the food. Ordered 3 dishes and none of them were nice. They mentioned that the cold food servings could be picked up directly from the conveyer belt and would be added to the bill along with the hot fresh ordered food. We had ordered 3 hot servings, the so called freshly made were very poor in quality and did not taste good at all. The fish was definitely not fresh and I could clearly taste it. Miso soup was okayish but not the best.

Overall leaving a 2 star rating, 1 for the conveyer belt thing. Because I found it cool & convenient and the other for customer service. Other than that the food was terrible and would definitely not go back to this place, nor would recommend it to anyone.

Price wise, it was on the higher end of the budget, so definitely not worth paying such price for the poor quality of food.

Even the soya sauce was extremely salty, and the wasabi was so mild that I did not even notice the taste of it.

Bad service! It took over 5 minutes for them to arrive and we were told to move because our section of the sushi train was closed off. We had a little dog with us, and kindly asked if they could just send some traits to our side, but they refused and told us that is not possible. The lady serving us just walked away in the middle of conversation, came back and said that they were being nice since they allowed us to sit there with the dog in the first place. (it is public area so dogs are allowed on that side of the restaurant). We packed our stuff and left and are never coming back. In covid times one should think the people working in the service business would be more polite and forthcoming,...

Convenient with very friendly staff, but overpriced. The portions on the conveyor belt are very small and some can get quite expensive (up to 129nok per small bowl). The fish did not taste fresh, the rest was totally fine taste wise. It's worth mentioning, that the large hot plates are quite big and not so expensive (209nok), but they aren't the best, I think for the price you can find better noodles in Oslo. All in all I have very mixed feelings, it's convenient (no waiting), the waitress was really friendly and it didn't taste bad, but again, for the price I'm sure there are better asian...
