Hard Rock Cafe Oslo — Restaurant in Oslo

Ouch, I don't know where I should start:

Food: Awful - one of the worst food I'd eaten...ever. I always eat the same things in all HRC - spicy shrimps and baby ribs. Here - totally wrong taste with totally wrong spices/marinate. I had a stomach acid all night - even I took 2 different antiacid pills - no effect.

Service: Friendly staff...at the beginning. We received our shrimps - 3 min. before the water and beer. No cutlery. Waiting almost 20 minutes for the second beer. When I ask twice the waiter where my beer is - "sorry, man, I am not behind the bar". Just wait. No timing for the main course - another around 20 min of waiting, because the waiter ordered it after we ate a totally strange and not good shrimps.

Atmosphere: Top location and place. No comment for that :)

Shop: Several items, not a good choice for t-shirts, but the lady behind the desk was wonderful. Very kind and great smile. Ready...

Went there for dinner. 3 adults and 2 kids. Service better than average in Norway and a good start. New restaurants. Quite small, but cosy and family friendly.

Drinks: ordered 1 large beer, 2 x kids soda and 2 x strawberry basil lemonade

Asked to get 1 lemonade without ice, but not possible. The beer was 0,4 l and the largest they had. I expected 0,5 or 0,6 as a large beer.

Food: The wings was good. Kids menus, both chicken and burger with fries was large portions and tasted good. The Cesar salad with salmon was good. But the legendary nachos was a shock! Burned nachos and almost no fillings on it. We told the waiter and they took it back without questions. For legendary dishes and from HRC I didn’t expect that the chef would allow it to be served.

My wife and I have eaten at this Hard Rock Cafe three times now and have been impressed by the service and the food every time. We had the Norwegian salmon dinner, the Big Cheeseburger, and the Grilled Chicken sandwich. Ramez did an outstanding job at this visit keeping everything in our 20 person group in order. He was attentive and responsive to all of our needs. Because we had a reservation, we were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken and delivered quickly. The orders were taken as quickly as could be expected and, under the circumstances, because there were 20 people in our group, delivered within a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for good comfort...
