Knoll og Tott AS — Restaurant in Tromsø

[TROMSO, NORWAY] Now this is a casual restaurant you really should visit when you're here in Tromso. With delicious food and friendly staff, this was a good meal to end our trip here in Norway!

The Lasagna 🍝 (239 NOK) was such a delight to have. The plate came sizzling hot, and the lasagna had a beautiful cheese crust on the top. Cutting this beauty reveals layers of pasta and meat sauce underneath, which tasted really fresh. The cream sauce around the lasagna elevated the dish further, with rich cheese and cream flavour. This is one of the best lasagna I've had!

The Cream Fish Soup 🍲 (219 NOK) came in a huge portion, with chunky pieces of salmon and cod that were fantastic. They were not overcooked and yet really soft and flaky 😍 the soup itself may be slightly salty but that is best paired with the bread they gave.

Talking about the bread 🥖, it was one of the best baguette I've had. Crispy on the outside, so soft and fluffy on the inside, this bread was a good medium to mop up all the lasagna sauce and cream soup you have. They have many baguette variations that we didn't order but they looked absolutely massive with generous ingredients!

The creamy fish soup is delectable! Slightly sour prevents it from getting too rich hence I was able to finish it with no problem. The bread! It was soft, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The amount of seafood inside is reasonable and fresh without any fishy taste. The world famous lasagne, my husband proclaimed is the best he ever had. It was soft and creamy on the inside. We both had hot chocolate and they were kind enough to customise a version with oat milk for me as it wasn't on the menu - I very much appreciate it. This place has been around for ages, apparently it was open for more than a decade and closed for a while, they moved to this new location and still give homage to the original buildings history with the photos on the wall. it recently reopened under the same owners. The fish soup was great it's the perfect consistency for me, not too thick and not too thin. Their sandwiches are also fresh and there are a lot of options available. Prices were reasonable. They also have other stuff like baked potatoes and hot dishes that look delicious. If you're looking for a proper meal, a snack, this place...
