Easy to find and it has a nice industrial look with open cuisine. The menu is amazing, we took the 6course menu. The food is local with a mainly fish when we were there. The food tastes amazing! With very good combinations. And small appetizers to start of with. Our compliments for that. The service was okay. There were three girls working. They helped us correctly, the youngest one welcomed us. Once we ordered our 6course menu, they brought delicious appetizers, simple but nicely presented. The older waitress of the three brought our food, most courses that is. At first she explainened everything, but after a while she left part out. And she never looked us in the eye. She seemed a bit off, not interested in us maybe? And at a certain point she took 2courses back without saying anything. But halfway through she went home. The younger girl continued serving us. She did ask how Everything was going. And explained the dishes, as far as she could. She did not know everything on the menu. But that was complety fine with us. She tried her best, showed interest and did her best. We could ask her questions and have a laugh with her. So overall the food was superb! Service was okay. Some room for improvement, but it was good enough. This is definetly a place to go if i come...
Read moreThis gem of a restaurant is a celebration of flavor and impeccable esthetic. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you want a rich and simple meal, this place is perfect if you want to take you time and indulge in complex dishes with a melange of local quality ingredients. They have fixes prices options if you want to try several things at once. I opted for the regular menu. For starters I had salmon filet, a masterful ensemble of surprisingly complimenting flavors. Salmon itself was very fresh with creamy dill mayo and as a side , a shaved green apple with creme fraiche , mustard seeds and a dash of buckwheat seeds. The juicy apple tartness was toned with creme fraiche and the piquant seeds added a crunchy feel. Exquisite dish. For the main course I had reindeer filet. If you never had it, it's a rich flavor with a tannin aftertaste quite similar to beef liver. The meat itself is denser than that of beef. At the same time it was incredibly soft and juicy. The side consisted of moist beets, crunchy Brussels sprouts and a side of buttery potatoes with firm skins. They also have an extensive well suited wine and spirits selection. The place itself is understated with low lights, which allows you to focus on enjoying the flavors and whomever you're with. I...
Read moreA very nice restaurant with an exciting menu. The place is small, with very nice interior. The acoustic is bit the best, and was quite loud when the restaurant was full. We selected the taste-menu, with, it my memory serves me right, 8 dishes. What came out of the kitchen ranged from very good to quite bland. The soup with dried fish was the biggest disappointment, just no taste. Also the waffle with fish roe was a hit and miss in my opinion. In contrast was the herring and the reindeer very good, except I was a bit unlucky with one of the pieces of reindeer beeing quite though. All in all a nice, but a bit varied experience food wise. I think some of the dishes were just too complicated for my taste. The service was perfect, with friendy, and knowledgeable waiters. Very nice information about the food, and several good tips about wine and beer that...
