RESTAURANTE LA SERENA — Restaurant in Arequipa

Amazing views but not much more to rave about. No soap in mens bathroom...Lots of artists, kids selling candies and others moving around asking for soles. We had a big group and they served us with two small bowls of canchita to start, which was comical. The menu averages about 40 soles a plate. The kitchen is located elsewhere and it seems like the same kitchen serves multiple restaurants. From sitting down to getting the first plate was 1 hour. Overall I would skip the view and go elsewhere in Arequipa for peace, better food ...

Perfect view of the square. The attention was incredible, very kind and polite waiter. I ordered alpaca with garlic sauce and a chocolate cake. The sauce was not looking good at all, and it was too salty. The chocolate cake didn't seem fresh. All in all kinda expensive for the quality...

It's definitely not the best restaurant in town, nor Is it the best quality price ratio, but dining with and outstanding view on the Central Square of Arequipa is such a nice experience ! All restaurants around the square have the same kind of menus with probably the same quality...
