This review was a bit of a challenge. As fractional numbers are not an option. I would have given it a 3.5 if that was an option. I decided to grab a pizza based on the reviews. Things started off swimmingly. The chef is super friendly and helpful. Service is fast, for the most part. Unfortunately, things fall apart in the most important areas. While I think the pizza recommendation was spot on. Execution and delivery were not. The pizza was average. Yes, it is made in front of you and cooked in a wood fired oven. It was a very forgettable meal. To drive a nail in the experience. When I went to pay the check. I had the chef (owner?) and his daughter(?) begging and pressuring me to pay in cash vs. using a card not a becoming situation and one I did not appreciate. By far this was my most disappointing restaurant experience in Peru. This is the first restaurant in Peru that I would not return to.

They make pizza in a wood-fired stone oven. Don't say everyone in the city does that, they shape the dough there! They don't use pre-prepared and waiting dough like the others. They are also very friendly. I wanted my mushrooms to be cooked in advance, so they went to the kitchen and cooked the chicken and mushrooms in a pan, then added them to the pizza and put them in the oven. They really do their job very well. We came two days in a row Also, the freshly squeezed papaya and mango drinks are great! They didn't even add a gram of water to it. It's completely pure fruit!! I guess these things seem very strange when you come from the USA. Because we are used to fruit powder :)

A lovely surprise! After walking into another pizza place, where we were told they had no pizza till after 4pm, we left and found Tupac Palace. We walked through a wall into a foyer then to a back room where there was 3 tables a pizza oven and 2 friendly staff. 100% not a palace but it was 100% worth it. We watched the entire pizza get made and enjoyed it with a little on the Peru spicy sauce. So glad we came here, affordable, tastey and comfortable.

Very friendly staff, good atmosphere and cold drinks. Good quality ingredients and also good hygiene standards. But the most important thing failed: the oven wasn't hot so our pizza was not cooked enough. It was cold and the dough was raw. Also the bubbles were missing because it didn't reach the temperature when the yeast starts working. So we basically ate cold and fluid dough which was not crunchy at all. If they pay attention to heat up the oven properly before they put the pizza inside, it is going to be an...
