I LOVED this place. It’s the one thing I miss the most since leaving Iquitos. I was in Iquitos for 2 weeks, and found out about it half way through, and since then had been going there every single morning until I left, even though my hotel package included a nice and expensive breakfast. When my family visited for the last few days, sometimes we ate all three meals there. What I love about it -1) the view. Sit outside and face the amazon river. Can't beat that. 2) the juices /smoothies -unlike typical American ones which taste so artificial or overly sweet, these are all natural ingredient, made fresh with local produce, and taste amazing. 3) the food. They have great selection of food here, including peruvian, american (with a local spin ofc), you can find interesting food, plain food, vegetarian food, comfort food, and more. All so well made. 4) the staff. speak english, have english menu. very helpful and friendly.
Sometimes the food is served a little slow, but that's the same everywhere in Iquitos honestly, and I don't mind bird watching on the river while waiting...
Read moreGood location with wide array of food, but antagonistic service and insulting portion size.
There aren’t many places to eat in Iquitos, so perhaps you’ll have to come here anyway, but I’d try to avoid it if possible. The portion sizes are quite stunningly small for the price. I sent back my meal as I thought it completely unfairly priced. The waiter took it back but not before he made it clear he thought it wasn’t their problem, despite the misleading representations made on the menu. When the bill came, they tried to charge for it anyway, even though they had taken it back.
All in all, I think this place is complacent and doesn’t seek to satisfy customers so much as part them from their cash at as minimal a cost to them as possible. If you aren’t happy with this, they’ll still try to rip you off and won’t budge. Make sure you have cash, so you retain some...
Read moreIt was ok, ayhuasca dieta menu available, but, not very friendly service from the lady on the counter and long wait for food. When I visited they had no card facilities or WiFi, which I wouldn't have minded, but, they didn't warn customers about this prior to ordering. They also were priced to take advantage of tourists and not in line with Iquitos prices. It has a nice view, but, a total tourist trap that doesn't seem to actually like tourists. A shame as I hear it used to have a good energy, but, that's not what I experienced. Personally I preferred the yellow rose of Texas, as although the food there was basic and they still price for tourists, they worked for the money and the staff were welcoming...
