We went with Very high expectations to this place since this place was recommended by this super high end place that we went to. The guy who helped us tour the store seemed fairly disinterested. He was like “these are the chocolates and these are the prices “ . When we asked us to tell us more about certain chocolates, he straight away started reading from the packet that “this chocolate is this Flavor and this is the cacao content”. That’s it! We realized that Chocolate wasn’t his forte and Coffee was (by the way he explained) . Being a coffee fanatic , we asked us to help us pick some coffee beans, He just got us a pretty tart coffee to try and left!! In the end we left the place super confused about the offerings , worst 65 USD spent with one of the “expensive “ chocolates that turned out to be stale (so we trashed it). Seemingly the entire staff was a bit on snobby side. We found much better chocolate selection at the Lima...
Read moreThis place is heaven 🥰 The coffee, chocolates, and cookies are all amazing. Their cups are pre-warmed - that's how you know they really care down to the very last detail! The best part, however, is the people. All the staff here are so incredibly nice and patient. Alan not only is super knowledgeable about coffee and chocolates, but also took the time to share his knowledge with this coffee noob and answer all of my questions ❤️ They have a great selection of Peruvian chocolates from the north, center, south of Peru, including a lot of bean to bar chocolates 🍫 The interior is beautifully decorated, and I especially dig the snake plants. It's a mood 🪴 There are plenty of seating in the back, which makes it a great place to sip on some coffee or hot chocolate and read some books 📚 and if you're lucky, you may even find sábadonuts on certain Saturdays! They look like adorable and delectable gifts...
Read moreshelves and shelves of chocolate, from award-winning bars to small farms releasing their first bar. this is an artisanal chocolate tour of peru, including award-winning brands i've been looking to try but couldn't find elsewhere. amanda, the sweet lady who started this, took me on a tasting tour from the south to the north, and i learned much about the process of cacao, its flavors, and the PEOPLE behind it, also without feeling any pressure to buy anything -- just a lot of love for the stories and people she represents and shares in the narrative. i learned about the makers of different bars, and their stories -- and so inspired, that i bought a few bars as gifts (some beautiful packaging here), and a few kilos of chocolate direct from the makers, connected via amanda. this place is a portal to the vast and enchanting realm of...
