Romantic Baboy SM City Clark — Restaurant in Angeles

The staff are friendly and accommodating. The selection of meat makes it good enough. We ordered the Marinated Pork, Herbed Pork and Woo Samgyeopsal. The only meat I enjoyed is the latter coz it’s thinly cut and it tasted like it was marinated thought it doesn’t look like it. It’s on the sweeter side and easily cooked. There is (melted) cheese and seasoned egg mixture being cooked along the griller and I honestly enjoyed the egg mixture than the cheese. The only downside is they don’t include a soup in a clay pot -it’s a separate purchase unlike other Korean Restaurants specially the authentic ones found in Korea Town, the soup is served together with the unlimited Samgyeopsal set and at a cheaper price. The authentic Korean Restaurants served plentiful of side dishes unlike Romantic Baboy considering its price but yeah, they offer different meats so maybe that’s where the bulk of the price comes from. Although the staff are friendly, they are lacking in manpower. There are plenty of vacant tables but they make us wait for our turn and we had to wait for about 20-30 minutes. I’d like to blame the management. They should anticipate the amount of people that would want to dine at their restaurant specially during the holidays. I even heard one employee telling her colleague “uy mag break ka naman baka himatayin ka na dyan”. The guy she is pertaining to is still smiling in spite of assumably being overworked. Already saw Romantic Baboy multiple times but not giving it a try thinking that it is just another samgyupsal chain with poor service, but nah, I'm wrong.

We ate here last June 19. Our first option is not available. Hubby saw this resto, and I'm still hesitant to try, but yes, go na lang.

-The receptionist/server is so welcoming and kind. Didn't get her name though. -The food is of high quality. Sobrang nabusog kami! -No long queue kahit na punuan na sa loob ng resto. -The vibe is just chill kahit na again, puno ang resto. You'll see the servers na hindi natataranta.

Will we eat here again? Definitely yes! This will be on our top list for...

Meat came in and it was stacked in a flat plate that the bottom of the top plate touch the meat underneath directly Meat came and it has different color (some pink and some darker red like it’s been in the freezer for a while).
