Advance booking was a breeze, with just one call I was able to get a booking for the following day. This was on April 2, 2022, this was a long awaited family lauriat during the covid-19 lull. I was part of the advance party so I made sure to come at our appointed time of 11:00 am. Initially got lost as they had another location along the same street where their delivery van was parked. It's good that the resto location was only about 100 or so meters away from there. Soon as we arrived, we started ordering one of the set meals for 10 pax plus a few dimsum. While the food was cooking, we had time to chat, take some pictures, and have a few laughs. Within half an hour or less, they were already serving our order one dish after another, we didn't have to wait long. The waiters were very attentive to our requests and offered to take our pictures. Restrooms were spotless and well supplied. We enjoyed our family bonding at...

Consistently good Chinese food in the Makati business district plus it has a classy and quiet atmosphere. Our group had Peking Duck (4/5); Fried calamares with chili pepper ( 5/5 crispy batter and tender squid meat) , breaded shrimp (4/5 ), steamed garoupa (2/5 -ginger was overwhelming) ), pork " liempo" ( 5/5- tender meat, crispy skin), beef tenderloin in black pepper sauce ( 1/5 a disappointment considering it was highly recommended by the waiter . Beef was not tenderloin but more like tapa meat which was made tender by a meat pounder. No pepper taste, mushy brown sauce topped with raw onions) , stuffed fried eggplant ( 5/5 my all time favorite) , spinach and broccoli with garlic ( 2/5 - very bland), crab with scallions ( 3/5) .

Waiters were not attentive enough, considering the 2nd floor was not full.

For now it is not PWD/ Seniors friendly but an elevator is...

I CANNOT express how much this place deserves ALLL THE STARS! Every dish was sooo tasty, even the Chili oil that was on the table was better than anything I've had before (I ate the fried wonton wrapper chips with Chili Oil 😋. We ordered a lot, but we don't know when we will eat here soon again, and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED! We had Fried Tofu with ground Pork and deep fried spinach; Chicken Curry Puffs; salt and pepper Lobster; Garlic Butter crabs; and chinese sausage and egg white and spinach fried rice. We ate so much, but we also took a lot home. I'm so glad for our server Marvin's recommendations on our choices. I will most definitely keep this as a favorite restaurant on my maps, but bit of advice; make sure you look at the operation hours. We arrived at 400pm ish and they didn't open (due to regular scheduled cleaning) until 6pm . 5 stars all...

I recently dined at Hai Shin Lou in Makati, and it was a delightful experience for authentic Chinese cuisine. The ambiance was elegant yet welcoming—great for family dinners or special occasions. We ordered chow fan, steamed shrimp, Peking duck, and mango sago, and each dish was served fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. I was really impressed by the quality of the ingredients and how everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and professional, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. While the prices lean toward the higher side, the generous portions and excellent taste made it absolutely worth it. If you’re craving quality Chinese food in Makati, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
