Visited in March Philippines - Manila. Makati

We decided to dine at this restaurant based on its stellar rating, but our high expectations left us somewhat disappointed with the overall experience. It's a decent spot if you're looking for a quick, no-fuss snack or a simple meal to fill your stomach during lunch—satisfying, reasonably priced, but not particularly exceptional. However, it may not be the ideal choice for a special occasion or a truly enjoyable dining experience.

Food: We sampled two pasta dishes: classic carbonara and tagliatelle with chicken. The pasta was cooked well, maintaining an al dente consistency; however, the pasta sauce seemed overly rich, possibly due to a slight separation, likely caused by the cream being at the wrong temperature. The chicken was slightly dry. I particularly enjoyed the watermelon and Feta salad—a burst of flavors, juicy, and vibrant. The vegetables were of high quality, with the sweet watermelon providing a delightful contrast against the salad dressing. The Italian sausages appeared tough, resembling more like minced meat patties encased in a casing rather than the traditional sausage texture. We also tried the breaded fish, which was tasty but lacked seasoning.

Atmosphere: The restaurant boasted a beautiful ambiance, with a substantial number of guests occupying tables. Overall, the establishment was fairly clean and well-maintained.

Service: While the service was slow, it wasn't poor, albeit slightly indifferent—a typical scenario in casual dining settings focusing on quick service.

Conclusion: For us, this restaurant was a one-time experience; it's suitable for a convenient meal without expecting the top-tier experience suggested by its high rating. It's a suitable stop for a casual lunch...

It was my first time trying Italiani's Restaurant which is somewhat in the mainstream when it comes to fancy italian restos in the ph. As it is one of the most common mention when talking about italian resto, I had an expectation and was quite underwhlemed.

Of all the Italian themed Resto that Ive been to, the ratio of taste and price was so off in this resto. The food was not bad, but its not good either for the price that I pay for each order. I got a "I would've enjoyed it if I spent that amount of money in _ instead"-thought.

Some orders were bland for my taste comparing to other italian restos that Ive eaten before and I really enjoyed.

Tried the pasta, the Pizza, the ribs, and the chips. This is my conpletely honest feedback, The pasta was bland, the pizza was burnt at the bottom thus there is an overpowering burnt taste, the ribs were good. The chips were also good but the dip was overpowering.

The ambiance was good though, the servers also tried their best but they served an important side dish(rice) 30 mins after serving all the pasta, pizza, and ribs. They also have parking which was also good.

Overall, I think people percieve Italiani's good because Its is in the mainstream. In my opinion, I paid that much for the brand and not the quality...

For the price, it's a decent place, but I don't understand how it received such high reviews, especially when the service is slow. It might be due to its proximity to the hotels, but I would avoid, except maybe for dessert. Don't let the all-day PHP 385 meal sway you, since there's the 12% VAT and 10% Service Charge

Food: The pasta and the pizzetta were undercooked. You can also tell they don't make their pasta from scratch as they have boxes of Barilla right over the kitchen. I also found the meal to be quite salty and lacking in other flavors.

Drinks: Despite their comprehensive wine menu, when we ordered a glass, the server only brought out two types of wines, saying that is all they had. Both were opened bottles and tasted mediocre, esepcially given the price. The dalandan drink was interesting but there's a weird aftertaste that may need to be assessed.

Dessert: The one redeeming factor of this place is their Tropical Bliss cake, a mix of jackfruit and ube, was quite good. Although it was a bit dry, it was good at the end of the meal.

Service: Beside the wine part, our server never checked on us during the meal. Thankfully the food came out fast, they weren't able to split the bill, but at least they accepted...
