I have always liked this place which is a couple of minutes walk from our condo. The menu is varied, food pretty good, the place is cute, service is ok. But last night, my husband and I went for a late dinner and as we were eating, I thought I saw something moving under our bench seats. So I put my feet up, and a minute later - yup - there was the mouse running around under the seats. My normal reaction would be to scream at the top of my lungs but I was able to hold it in and just put my feet up and called the waitress over to let her know. Their reaction was a calm “do you want to move table, ma’am?” like it was no big deal. No “I’m sorry, we will move you and look into it and not charge you for your meal”. Not even an offer of a free drink. We were moved to the front part of the restaurant. I questioned the manager about the possibility of mice also running around in the kitchen - she said “wala naman po.” I asked how or where they were getting in from - she said (pointing) “under the gaps in the door”, and that since construction had started next door - they were coming from there. My question is - WHY are they not doing something about this? They are running a restaurant! If this had been in any other country, they could close you down without notice. As I am not one to complain, I told my husband to pay the bill after our meal and we left. I think I am still in shock - not as much from the actual mouse but more from the “no big deal attitude” to the existence of vermin in a...
Read moreFood:4.5/5 I enjoyed how savory and the kick of flavor of the sauce in the blanquette de beef. Whilst I found myself wanting more flavor in the chorizo pasta. The meals were a tad bit pricey even compared to other establishments in makati
Service: 5/5 I have no complaints here. The staff were very attentive at refilling our drinks almost as if they had sensors as they came to refill our glasses the instant the glasses were empty. Serving time was quick ~15mins for orders to arrive and were served all at once.
Atmosphere: 4/5 The ambiance was good but I found the temperature during our stay to not be as cool as we wanted it to be especially with the searing heat outside.
I found the seats and table we sat on to be a bit uncomfortable particularly the tables felt a bit flimsy where we sat and a bit high. But for the overall look of the place it was able to capture that...
Read moreLa Creperie is a charming spot that immerses you in French culture the moment you step inside, with its beautiful artwork and French-named dishes. We tried the 'quatre fromages' for the savory option, and it was perfectly balanced, with a great texture. For dessert, the 'mango hazelnut au chocolat' was exceptional—the sweet mango paired beautifully with the rich chocolate crepe and hazelnut drizzle, easily making it one of the best crepes I’ve had in the Philippines.
However, as someone who loves French culture and knows the language, I was disappointed by the staff’s lack of basic French greetings like bonjour or merci. There were also mispronunciations with the names of the dishes. It’s a small detail, but it took away from the overall experience.
That said, the food was excellent, and despite the minor cultural disconnect, it’s a place I’d return to for the...
