I went to Monarch Manila on a Saturday from 10 PM - 3 AM, as they were hosting Emo Night. We got the single advanced booking entry free P800 including 2 free drinks and entrance into either room from 9 PM to 3 AM. You can walk-in for P1000. Immediately, we are greeted with a statement RED staircase that leads you to Monarch. They first check your ticket QR by the front desk then you are free to explore. They had three rooms: (1) We used our 2 free drink vouchers here. Initially we were denied since there were still on a lot of back orders. Half an hour later, we requested for them, and we received them easily. The drinks themselves are more like ice teas with some alcohol. You could choose between Red or Black. Red is sweet and Black is quite good. There was a substantial amount of ice in each regular sized cup. They had a HUGE space so a crowd can easily fill up, which it did. They played punk / alt rock classics from Green Day to Paramore. Most of us were all gathered in this room. The DJ booth was at very top overlooking all of us. The punk room was way more open-space, free to roam around and stayed LIT for the whole duration. It was an AMAZING vibe. Everyone was singing and dancing along, not giving a care! (2) The next room was more of a small sports bar with classic arcade machines filled with plenty of downloaded games from Tekken to Street Fighter, as well as Billiards tables. They had a quaint dancing area that blasted Metal / Scream emo music. Some people were really feeling the music and expressing themselves. It was a much smaller crowd, but if you vibe, you vibe. I was able to order a tequila shot here fairly easily (P400). To play the arcade games, you can just ask for tokens, and they’ll give you one each. We also ordered french fries (P200) and onion rings (P300), and they were alright and easy. You get easily sobered up on these. This room really felt like they had a regular customer patronage, so that’s pretty cool (3) I didn’t really explore the “Live Jazz band” room, but there was one. I just peeked inside. It’s chill, sultry, a place to just relax in. To note, there is a 3-stall bathroom in the BIG dance floor space and only one stall at the sports bar. Additionally, the service was always very attentive and kind - it was always a smooth experience. There is way better turnover on the earlier, so go after that. What I really appreciate about my experience was that no matter who you are, young or old, whatever background you had - it was very accepting. No clout chasing, no superficiality, just a giant group of people looking to have fun with each other. This is a testament to the Emo Night organzers and DJs, as well as Monarch Manila for fostering a GREAT environment. No one got too into anyone’s business, everything seemed well maintained… no notes! Y’all gotta check out Monarch Manila and Emo Night fr fr. You...

If you’re looking for a go-to hangout in the heart of Makati that blends an upscale vibe with the energy of a true sports bar, Monarch Makati delivers the perfect mix.

From the moment you walk in, the ambiance strikes the right balance between classy and casual. Whether you’re there to watch the game, grab drinks with friends, or just unwind after work, the setup is versatile and welcoming. The big screens are crystal clear, and there’s always a good view of the match wherever you’re seated.

What truly sets Monarch apart is their impeccable service. The staff are attentive, quick, and genuinely friendly—something that’s rare to find in busier city bars. Drinks are well-crafted and reasonably priced, with an excellent selection of cocktails, beers, and top-shelf liquor. Their signature drinks are a must-try!

Food? Surprisingly amazing. It’s not just your usual bar chow. Every dish—from the wings to their truffle fries and sliders—feels thoughtfully made and satisfying. Perfect for pairing with your drink or for a late-night bite.

What I also appreciate is the crowd—a nice mix of professionals, expats, and locals, which gives the place a chill but vibrant social atmosphere. Whether you’re solo or with a group, it feels easy to settle in and enjoy.

All in all, Monarch Makati is more than just a bar—it’s a full experience. Perfect for game nights, chill Fridays, or even a casual nightcap. Highly recommended and definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

Have been a regular from when it was still Mansion, but it has since rebranded to Monarch.

We noticed that the menu also went an update. For our first time back, with it bearing its new name, we got their Beef Salpicao Burrito and Beef Rendang (with rice) for our mains. The Burrito had a very beefy flavor, while being soft and flavorful. We just wished the serving was a tad bit bigger! As for the rendang, I kept getting cautioned that it was going to be spicy, and it truly was, but just the right amount (for me at least)! It had heat and umami. The beef itself was fork-tender. I loved it with rice.

We also got dessert — the caramel brownie and strawberry mousse. The brownie was delectable, the strawberry mousse was so light. Prices were at 300+ pesos each, and the serving is for at least one person. Okay for sharing if you’d get two desserts.

Sir Lance, our main server, was so accommodating and attentive. Really respectful and chatty without being overbearing.

Can see myself coming back for sure! Giving a four for the atmosphere because the music can get a bit noisy — but it’s a...
