Had dinner here with my family to celebrate the birthdays of my mom and brother. Everything we ordered was delicious! They were:
Seafood Spinach Soup: heartwarmingly delicious!
Xiao Long Bao: good balance in the quantity of soup, meat, and wrapper
Spicy Dumplings: flavorful, but not as spicy as we were expecting. It was still good, though.
Sweet and Spicy Prawns: very flavorful. Crispy coated on the outside and big, juicy prawns inside. It's not hot and spicy, as the name might suggest.
Sweet and Sour Chicken: balanced sweet and sour flavor over crispy yet tender chicken pieces.
Stir Fried Mixed Fresh Mushrooms: the most memorable dish! It's simple yet full of flavor! Will definitely order this one again.
Fried Rice (house special): it paired very well with all the other dishes we ordered.
Mixed Meat Crispy Noodles: it was good, but the other dishes we ordered were so much more flavorful that the crispy noodles became "pale" by comparison.
Birthday buns: served to us free! Beautifully shaped "peach" buns with red bean and salted egg filling.
All the staff were very attentive and friendly to us. The level of service they offered was above what I am used to (at other chinese restos): they offered to put food directly to our plates instead of just serving the food on the table. And they offered more than once. We declined since we were not accustomed to it, but it was a gesture I could not forget.
We had a great dinner and look forward to...
Read moreWe treated ourselves to Peking Garden at Greenbelt 5 recently, craving their famous Peking duckâand it definitely did not disappoint. We went for the two-way preparation: crispy skin and tender meat rolled in soft pancakes with cucumber, scallions, and hoisin sauce, then the rest of the duck meat fried to perfection. It was absolutely generousâlikely too much for just twoâbut naturally, we still finished every last bite. Thatâs how good it was!
What stood out even more was the Poached Seasonal Vegetable with Whole Garlic & 2 Kinds of Eggsâa flavorful mix of salted egg and century egg that turned simple greens into something truly addictive.
To round things off, we were served complimentary house tea, a thoughtful touch that helped balance all those rich flavors.
âą The legendary Peking duck is worth every pesoâflavorful, crispy, and deeply satisfying.
âą The Poached Seasonal Vegetable with Whole Garlic & 2 Kinds of Eggs is a creative and delicious twistâthink silky century egg plus bright salted egg melded with fresh greens.
âą Warm, attentive serviceâincluding complimentary teaâmakes for a comfortable and memorable dining experience.
Recommendation:Â Bring a friend (or three), come hungry, and be prepared to savor every rich, flavorful bite. That vegetable dish is a hidden...
