Funny that for a burger place, I actually enjoyed their Naked Fish (₱450) more than the burger offerings. It is made with grouper fish or lapu-lapu, in the vernacular, which is flaky and meaty. The batter was crispy and complemented the delicate flavor of the fish. Absolutely delicious. Add their version of tartar sauce and it was divine. On their own, the burgers are fine, right heft, proper condiments in a potato bun but the problem is there is a deluge of burger spots that serve great burgers at the same price point and some even a lot cheaper offering half pound grilled burgers at P115 that could edge RBB's wagyu and Angus offerings at less than half the price. This just underscores how tough a business it is to be in the restaurant business. If you have a good product, it will be a target and one day someone might just get lucky and get the "secret sauce" to be the flavor of the month. That's the name of the game, everything is fleeting. There is an ebb and flow.
Food - 4, if I just ate the Naked Fish alone I would give it a 5 because it is one of the best fish sandwiches around. The Mighty Beast (P415) and the Raging Wagyu (P425) are good burgers, there just are better ones in my taste and opinion. I am biased to smashed burgers with crusty edges and pronounced beefiness.
Service - 4*, knowledgeable and attentive
Ambience - 5*, love the design of the store capitalizing on the bull and what it represents
Parking - 4*, there is basement parking but limited since this is a...
Read moreVery disappointed with the quality of the service and food at this branch. A far cry from the standard to be expected from Shangri-La. Paid premium price but received something straight out of Mang Inasal. From the nonchalant cashier who is glued to her phone even when the customer is standing right in front of her, to the charred patty served between two crispy buns. The staff even has the audacity to say that the meat inside isn’t charred, how about they cut off the charred parts instead? Excuse me? Am I getting refund for the parts that will be cut off? I politely declined and said she can have it instead. At least someone was happy at the end of this ordeal. Been a customers since lockdown, don’t recall getting this kind of cooking standard in the BGC Branch in Shangri-La. Needless to say, I’m never going back...
Read moreI've been trying to find a good burger place. I grew up in America so a it's hard to find a "good" that fits my American tastes. Now first thing I noticed, great music I love 2000 pop punk I'm a total emo😆. Now for the food itself I bought the raging wagyu and tbh it's the closest I've ever tasted to a tru american burger in this country! Now the patty was bland but the vegetables were fresh, the bun was great, and the sauce was nice but the star of the show were the twice fried fries, the inside was Like mash potatoes and the inside was crispy gold
