Nanyang SMDC Air Mall — Restaurant in Makati

Hmmm 🤔 Reading the past reviews here. Good thing, we didn't experience the 'bad stuff' here.

Based from my last review also at Nanyang in Ayala North Exchange, Makati.. i am not sure if this is a franchise.

Oh yeah, now I remember, when I approached the counter the lady there greeted me then she were slicing the bread, she didn't get my orders. For me, it was not a big deal because I see that she is doing something and I guess she's not the one in charge of getting orders or that was ordered first before I came. After I had ordered my food, the Teh Set Meal was delivered right away. See!? The lady at the counter was fast 😊 Our food was served here compared to the Ayala North Exchange (ANE) branch. Also their Teh Set Meal is still delicious. It was like dining at the Toast Box. ☺️ If this is the former Toast Box. Because we have tried Toast Box at Greenbelt before, now it is Nanyang.

So yeah, I will try their Laksa soon 🙏 Will...

This post doesn’t intend to humiliate but to be an eye opener for the management to improve the quality of the food they are serving. This half boiled egg is obviously 70% cooked. Last time we ordered it, it was undercooked. We talked to the staff to have it check and they insist to give us a new one. After checking it, still the same. Thankfully, they are willing to give us another one. Still raw... until they gave another one again, for the 3rd time. Quite better tho the white part aldy sticked to the eggshell as if it was a little bit overcooked.

Today, i ordered Toast set meal again and their half boiled egg looks like this, the yellow part is aldy hard. ;( Other food is still okay though, i like their hainanese fried chicken...

Can't say much about the service — so far, we haven't had a bad experience with the staff (either they're nice and helpful, or plainly neutral and professional a.k.a. passive - which is more tolerable than being rude), at least that's a fair point.

What keeps us coming back, though, is that so far — we have not had any disappointments in terms of food quality (unlike in some branches). Or at least that was in our case.

If you're in the area, it's a nice spot to just sit down and have a quick meal. Not ideal nor advisable to linger too long for lengthy conversations with barkadas / loved ones; place is more designed as a dine-and-dash.
