Jumbo indeed have Jumbo crab, my wife and I ordered a pc of jumbo crab with a weight of 1.6kg had it cooked in black pepper sauce it was really tasty with a kick of little sweetness I can compare it with with the black pepper crab in singapore 🇸🇬 or even better
For the Lobster we ordered 0.9kg as the crab was too big already. We had it cooked two way the half of the lobster was made into lobster sashimi and it was really good. For the other half they cooked it in butter garlic. I liked the sashimi better. Butter garlic was ok.
After eating the lobster sashimi, I thought that the head was wasteful so I requested them if possible they could help me cook the head with sweet chili so I can try it out also and they agreed to our request. For the sweet chili, my comment is that the sweet chili is not that outstanding with respect to the black pepper crab as I felt like you put a bottle of either ufc or delmonte sweet chili sauce then cooked it to make into sweet chili.
For the price it is pricey but worth it if you ordered the jumbo crab as you can’t usually find crab that big in the neighboring restaurant in boracay.
To add up, they will give you free ramyeon if you ordered a lobster for dinner.
I will definitely go back to this restaurant if I go...
Read moreThe Filipino staff were nice. They were friendly, polite, and attentive.
We came here at around dinner time. The place was quiet. After about 10 minutes, 2 groups of Koreans dined in as well. The owner and Filipino staff happily approached and took care of them. Just felt a bit discriminated as the Korean owner didn’t approach us even just to say hi or ask how the food was. Or baka sensitive lang ako.
For the crab, you get to choose a live one before they cook it. In the picture, our crab looks good. But when we opened it up, the insides were so dry, the meat was sticking to the skin, and it looked like they just re-cooked it. The first thing I thought was they switched our crab with an old and stale one. No way that crab was fresh!!
For the shrimp, the garlic and butter variant seemed like they just fried the shrimps and then topped it with fried garlic after plating. We couldn't taste the butter. Just pure oil and fried garlic.
The calamari was okay. Some pieces were soft, while the others are super chewy we had a hard time eating it.
All in all, I don't recommend this place. There are far more better options in the area to eat seafoods like...
Read moreAmazing service with ample dining space. They were able to accommodate our 12 pax group though we had to climb another set of stairs. However, we were the only ones on that level so it felt like private dining.
Service was commendable. They were patient with answering all our questions and got our orders correct. Food came relatively quickly as well, especially considering we were famished. Noteworthy was how they actually helped to cut up the crabs in front of you, after serving it whole for your photo taking pleasure. They also had plastic bibs and gloves, and a knifty crab picking tool to make sure you get every bit of the crab flesh. We also got the chance to choose our own crabs to go along with our selected sauces.
Some food options were spectacular, others were nothing to shout about. Make sure to try Salted Egg Prawn, Spicy Garlic Prawn, Chilli Crab and the Crab Fried Rice. For drinks, don’t miss out on the Mango or Watermelon Shake.
We took a 15 min walk to get here upon arriving in boracay, and we all felt it was worth the walk. Will come again!
PS Muslim/ halal friendly as they don’t...
