Chimney Cake Boracay — Restaurant in Malay

We went to Wicked Squid for a dive on January 19, 2025, and happened to see a poster (photo attached) advertising Chimney Cake with a 10% discount. My son mentioned that he had seen the store the night before and was curious to try it.

That evening, we visited the shop—and what a delightful surprise it was! It was something new for us, and we weren’t sure if one order could be shared. The lady at the counter, whom I assume is the owner (her name is Laura, pronounced Lawra), kindly said yes, one order can be shared. Since my wife and I aren’t really into sweets, we just wanted to try it for the experience. My son ordered the Nutella Oreo flavor.

At ₱390, it might be considered a bit pricey for locals, but in our opinion, the taste and overall experience made it worth it. And with the 10% discount, we paid ₱351, which was a nice bonus!

As a parent, I also want to highlight how impressed I was with the customer service. Laura accommodated my son’s questions with such warmth and patience. It really made the experience even more enjoyable. I hope I spelled her...

Sweet Treat & Cultural Experience in One! This dessert is incredibly sweet and perfect for a sugar boost! The owner is Hungarian and super friendly - he took the time to explain not only the dish but also some interesting facts about Hungarian culture. It was such a meaningful experience to be able to try a famous Hungarian treat right here in Boracay. The dessert is shaped like a chimney and filled with rich vanilla ice cream, Nutella chocolate, and Oreo cookies. It's absolutely delicious and worth every bit of the 400 pesos. Tried the chimney cinnamon cone today, and wow what a treat. It’s filled with swirls of chocolate and vanilla whippy, then absolutely drenched in Nutella and chocolate sauce. I went for the Snickers and fig combo on top. It’s an intense sugar hit (hello, sugar coma), but every bite was worth it. I’ll definitely be back tomorrow to try it with a different chocolate bar.
