This restaurant, which is affiliated with the Hennan group, one of the biggest players in the hospitality industry on the island, operates like a factory. Although the atmosphere is not very welcoming or personal, the food is delicious and there is a wide variety of options available.
The menu includes sushi, steak, roast chicken, a pasta station, and many other choices, and the quality is quite impressive, which is not always the case for restaurants in the Philippines. The price of the buffet is reasonable, at P1049 on weekends and around P800 on weekdays, and there is an additional charge of P250 for drinks, which include iced tea, local beer, canned juice, white and red wine.
However, the service leaves much to be desired. One of the major downsides is the policy of requiring a purchase for four people, even if only one person wants a drink, which seems unreasonable and inflexible. In addition, there was an incident where the staff refused to provide a table for four people unless all four paid, despite the fact that the other two were just a few minutes behind and planning to join them. This led to an unpleasant argument with the staff, which could have been avoided if the restaurant was more accommodating.
The rudeness of one of the staff members, Rizzie, was also a major issue. In contrast, another staff member, Rudolf, was able to save the day and provide better customer service.
Furthermore, the security personnel were unhelpful when the customers required assistance. Although they were escorted from the Henan park side, when they tried to go to the other side, the security personnel would not let them pass. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment.
Overall, while the food at this restaurant is excellent and offers great value for money, the service is disappointing, and customers should not expect to be treated well. If you're looking for a cheap and tasty meal with a wide selection of options, this place is worth trying, but if you're expecting good service or a personal touch, you may be...
Read moreSea Breeze, the dinner buffet at Hennan Regency in Boracay, offers a wide range of dishes and a pleasant dining experience. My overall impression of the buffet was positive, with some notable highlights.
The selection of food at Sea Breeze was impressive. There were various stations offering different cuisines, including Filipino, Asian, Western, and seafood. The buffet featured a good mix of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The seafood options, in particular, were quite abundant, with fresh and well-prepared dishes like grilled prawns, crabs, and a variety of fish.
The quality of the food was generally good, with flavorful and well-seasoned dishes. The live cooking stations added an interactive element, allowing guests to have dishes prepared to their preference. The staff members at the stations were friendly and accommodating, providing assistance and recommendations when needed.
The dessert section at Sea Breeze was a treat for those with a sweet tooth. There was a wide array of cakes, pastries, fruits, and ice cream flavors to choose from. The desserts were visually appealing and tasted delicious.
The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The seating arrangements were spacious, and the dining area was well-maintained. The staff members were attentive and kept the tables clean and tidy.
One minor drawback was that during peak hours, the buffet area could get crowded, resulting in longer wait times at certain stations. However, this is common in buffet settings, and the staff made efforts to manage the flow of guests.
There’s one thing I didn’t like about this buffet is that the drinks are not included. You have to Pay extra 299 pesos to have unlimited drinks.
