We originally booked a Deluxe Room with veranda in Boracay Haven Suites through Agoda. We provided all details necessary such as credit card details. Even though it was stated upon booking that payment will be settled upon check-in, we received an invoice email from the property that needs to be settled right away. The payment link was not working at all. We double checked our bank and everything was okay. But the payment link still didn't work. It was not PayPal. So, we contacted the property. They sent another link, didn't work, another one, failed. They insisted that maybe we have a problem with our bank.||So we requested to just cancel the booking. The reservations staff allowed us to cancel the booking and we won't be charged with any cancellation fee. We asked them to send us an email about the agreement for record purposes. We were quite unsure because the cancellation charge is 92% as shown on our booking voucher. So we called Agoda and true enough there would be a penalty. Agoda even said that the hotel reservation staff they talked to didn't know the staff we were talking to. Hmm? ||We told the hotel staff about our conversation with Agoda. She said that there is really a penalty if we cancel our booking. Wow! She admitted she was wrong but there was no apology. We could be charged almost 12,000 for that reckless mistake.||The reservations staff offered to book a Superior Room in Boracay Haven Resort directly through hotel website. Once done, we can cancel Agoda booking at Haven Suites without penalties. We asked if there's a major difference between the two. Not so much she said. Just the location. ||By the way, I mentioned to her that I know about Agoda's payment upon check in policy because I previously worked as a Reservations Supervisor for a Boracay resort based in Makati City.||Days later, I opened an email from her Manager sent to Spam since I sent a direct inquiry prior to booking via Agoda. She offered a lower rate in Haven Suites compared to their website rates. So I called and asked why they did not offer it to us when we were offered to book Haven Resort via website. I was just told I should have known the difference between their properties since I worked in Boracay before. Seriously? Again, no apologies, no compensations, very poor customer...
Read moreThe worse stay ever. Me and my partner were looking for a good getaway an de this would be our second time in Boracay. This is not station 1 this is station 2 beach it’s filled with nothing but boats that you can’t even find a decent place to swim! Our friends booked in another hotel that is in station 1 was completely different. Locals also stated the beach is station 2. The room we pick was with the jacuzzi which was the only reason we booked it. The noise was horrible we slept really badly all 3 nights as the rooms are horriblely placed where everyone has to walk pass our room to get to theirs and it is very noisy and loud with a lot of Tourists screaming and yelling playing their music really loud. The table and chair in front of our room was being used by other guests, drinking and chatting away loudly. They had the odesity to refuse refund and said that’s their policy and yet they did not bring to table what they promise in their website, agoda was rather hopeless in this as well. They wanted us to take a cheaper room in the 4th floor that did not consist of the amenties we booked the room for. The hotel does not care about living up to the expectation and promises they make on their website. We are both very well traveled and I am from Asia (Singapore) and Bali 3 star hotels have our done haven suites in my experience. Food is horrible!! The pizza gave both me and my partner on our last day upon checking out really bad tummies. Other than that food is still bad the buffet is very minimal. The beach benches are a joke, because there’s very few and they close at 5pm which doesn’t allow u to enjoy watching the sunset on it, then again it’s so filled with boats on shore you won’t be able to see much either. Internet speed is really bad less than 1mbps, if you do use the beach bench area do sign up for Gowifi as it’s the fastest of 28mbps and it’s free for 3 days. This is not given by the hotel.
They have lovely staffs that I can’t deny, but it’s such a shameless that the property is horrible! I’ll never come back!
We were on an Wedding Anniversary trip in Boracay and stayed here.||We had a wonderful time!||I want to commend Haydee, the front desk person who checked us in and mostly took care of us. But all of their staff were very courteous, helpful, and always had a smile and pleasant greeting.||||The rooms were very clean especially the restrooms. Towels and toiletries were readily available (Abundant supply of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower). Beach towels were also readily available to bring to the beach. One great thing about the location is that it is around 3-5 minute walk to the beach front. ||Hand sanitizers well also readily available and located accessibly in public areas even inside the elevator.||||Their FREE breakfast choices were so varied from local Filipino cuisine to American and they even have pasta and sandwiches, and are usually served with fresh, ripe and juicy local fruits like mango, watermelon, sliced apples or oranges. You have the choice of eating in your room, in the dining room or out by the poolside.||||Wifi was available all around the hotel, though it is excruciatingly slow (Philippine internet service is to be blamed). ||Check out was a breeze even at 4:00 am since our flight was at 7 am. They were even gracious enough to prepare our breakfast sandwiches that early so we could bring it to the airport with us||||Would definitely stay again should our path bring us on...
