Calypso Beach and Dive Resort has always been our family's go to hotel and home when in Boracay. ||All their facilities that are well kept and maintained paired with the excellent service provided by their staff not to mention its excellent location - are all the reasons that we keep coming back. I stayed in this resort over 8 times in the last 4 years and would continue to do so when we get the chance to visit Boracay. ||PROS: |beachfront property located at the border between station 2 and station 3|swimming pool is located literally less than 30 steps away from the beach. if you are traveling with kids, you can definitely enjoy either the pool, the beach or even BOTH!|police station, convenience stores, Andoks, pasalubong shops are all within reach!|they have the comfiest pillows! |rooms are well kept, maintained and cleaned|most (if not all) rooms have ceiling fans to help circulate and ventilate the air temperature|body towels and face towels are provided and replenished regularly|beach towels and mats are provided at NO additional cost|the resort itself has its own resto, hassle free for those who prefer to stay and relax in the hotel after a long day at the beach|plenty of food choices available for all kinds of travelers (Pares Hilton for those on a budget and Sensi Italian Resto for those who are willing to splurge a bit more)|Pares Hilton, Sensi Italian Resto and Sensi Coco all provide GREAT TASTING FOOD!!! |they have rooms located in the ground floor area - very convenient for those traveling with kids, PWD or senior citizens|they have rooms that can accommodate solo travelers, duos, trios and even those traveling with family|their beds and pillows are very comfy (most especially their pillows!)|*the hospitality of their staff is unmatched. Whether you a foreign national looking to have a good time in Boracay or a local PH resident looking to enjoy your vacation, their staff will treat you with utmost hospitality!||my list can go on and on and on. I have nothing but really good words for Calypso Beach and...

I accidentally booked the wrong date for my trip - yes, I know that was very dumb, but it was an error I take full ownership for. I know the booking was non-refundable and so that is my error. I tried asking if they would reconsider refunding, they wouldn’t. They didn’t even try to propose any solutions like a partial refund. It was simply - no refund. It's sad that people are not even willing to grant others some grace or lenience for human error. I had booked for 5 nights - why could they not have even refunded 2 or 3 nights??With the refund a no-go, I then asked if I could change the date. That request was denied which I find completely bizarre. I've never in my life encountered a place not willing to change the date. I mean, I don't live in the Philippines and so would be working at my job in a different country on the date I had erroneously booked for.I don’t really understand the reasoning behind this. It seems very odd for any hospitality industry to not be willing to let the customer change the date. My reasoning for wanting to change was human error. I wonder if someone booked and suddenly there was a family tragedy - I guess the hotel would just say too bad, we don’t budge - no cancellation, no date change, no refund. While they did allow me to change the name on my booking, turns out even a free paid 5-night stay here was difficult for others to manage because of the short time frame - I had booked for a stay two-weeks from when I booked it. That means it was basically impossible to find someone to take over the booking in 2 weeks - someone who a) lived in or near the Philippines, b) had the time off and c) had the money for a flight.I had looked forward to going here, but this experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth so don't think I will ever book here again. What happened to the days of hotels / resorts being human enough to show some compassion and kindness rather than just greedily taking your money. I really don't understand why they couldn't allow me to...

Pros: 1. Location. Station X. First line, the hotel is literally on the beach. There are free sun loungers, umbrellas and beach towels for guests. 2. The staff is polite and smiling. 3. The room is quite old, but spacious, there is a balcony with a table and chairs. 4. Quite clean, almost no insects (I only saw a couple of ants in the room). 5. There is a swimming pool, but I did not use it. What should be improved: 1. There is Wi-Fi, but it constantly drops out. I had to go to the reception twice to get a new login & password, reconnecting did not help. 2. There is an air conditioner, but it is old, VERY noisy (which interferes with sleep, and without it, it is also impossible to sleep - too hot) and is directed at the bed! 3. When I checked in, there was no dryer for clothes in my room, and there was hair on the pillow. I had to ask three times to fix it. And it was done only the next day. 4. Breakfasts are available, but not very tasty. Although the service is very caring. By the way, the lunch was good enough (I ordered soup). Important: 1. Green algae! This is not the hotel's fault, but when booking accommodation here, please note that this part of the beach is now, in March, simply drowning in algae. 2. Since the main pedestrian path runs between the hotel and the beach with sun loungers, please note that there can be no talk of any privacy. Crowds of people walk along this path non-stop, traders persistently approach and offer their goods (jewelry and other). In general, for a 3-star hotel and taking into account the location, this is a good option for accommodation. But it all depends on which pros / cons are...

Amazing hotel, location, and service! The rooms were comfortable, clean, and the AC worked great. Very conveniently located in the center of the strip. I will definitely stay here again when I return.🤘😜❤️

Place was located in a nice spot right in front of the beach. Hotel and morning restaurant staff were welcoming and nice throughout our stay. Now we’ve gotten the positives out of the way, where do I start with the negatives? Our bathroom reeked of open sewage, and if someone’s using the shower that smell wafts to the bedroom. You can tell the pillows and towels are ancient since you can literally smell them decaying after just a night of stay. I kid you not, I also had to chase and kill a full sized cockroach in our room. Numerous mosquitos inside our room tried to feast on us throughout our stay. Only the ceiling fan kept them at bay. If your room is located near their restaurant, expect loud music till 1130 pm if its busy. Almost everything we ordered from their restaurant was bland and all were overpriced. Their beer bucket was advertised as 599 pesos but they charged me 650. Some of their restaurant staff at night were frown clowns. Not once did they smile while I was talking to them. The evening before we checked out, our kids were swimming in their pool and the decorative lights mere inches above the waterline had a short. Major safety issue there. Non hotel staff doing room service massage have to pay 100 pesos at the front desk, which seems like shoddy practice to us. I get that the masseuse might have known about it and didnt disclose the fact until after my wife tipped her, but that means if you’re stingy her tip would be slashed by 100 since that’ll go to the hotel, and if you’re not, that’s another 100 out of your pocket. All in all a poor experience and not something I’d recommend.
