Pares Retiro — Restaurant in Quezon City

We ordered via Foodpanda and waited for more than 1 hour and 30 minutes, only for the order to be marked as delivered even though we never received it.

If your contact number had been reachable, or if someone had responded to your Viber accounts, we could have prevented the delivery rider from stealing the order. Not only did this cause us inconvenience, but it also resulted in losses for your branch.

Please ensure that your lines are open so customers can follow up on their orders, especially when riders become unresponsive.

I personally went to your branch to check if my order was picked up, but unfortunately, the rider had already left when I arrived. I had no choice but to reorder again when I got home since our group was hungry.

Foodpanda was able to refund me fully but it will take up to 45 days to get it back, but in the end, your branch still incurred losses and we were inconvenience with the amount of effort we put in from waiting to going to your physical branch to check.

Kindly make your contact channels more reliable to prevent these issues. What’s the point of displaying a Viber number and phone line at your Morato and Tuazon branches if they remain unreachable or unresponsive?

First off, this chain of pares restaurants is in no way related to the famous Original Pares along Retiro Street in La Loma. Many people make this mistake because the name of this restaurant has 'Retiro' on it. It is not in any way related. I asked the waiter here years ago already.

Anyway, if you taste the beef pares here, and you know the taste of the beef pares in Original Pares, you would immediately know that this is not connected to Original Pares.

I ate here years ago when this was newly opened because, like others, I also thought it was connected to Original Pares. It was not as good as the pares in Original Pares, but it was decent enough.

Recently I ate again here, and, frankly, I think it was better before. Its no longer as busy. Fewer customers. Even the staff are fewer. Food options looks like it is fewer now. The place is kinda sleepy and unexciting . Maybe because people have discovered that its not as good as Original Pares or Jonas, or even the smaller pares places in the La Loma area?

Tastes salty without the umami, so disappointing, not deserving your hard earned money. The camto soup doesn't taste like the usual camto soup in N.S. Amoranto corner Dr. Alejos streets because it tastes like salty cheap instant noodles beef flavour.
