Life is meant to be lived.
Food is meant to be eaten.
Experiences are meant to be felt.
Royal Indian Curry House is meant to be visited.

Never mind searching Google for synonyms of "delicious" or asking AI to help me find the right words to describe a great dining experience. Royal Indian Curry House is simply one of those places you just have to try for yourself.

Located on the third floor of Terrazzo Mall in Tomas Morato, Quezon City we were warmly welcomed as the cordial guard opened the grand door for us. The moment we stepped in, the hustle and bustle of Tomas Morato faded away, and we were transported into a place of luxury—high ceilings, refined furnishings, plush sofas, elegant interiors with soft backlighting, and stunning marble finishes that made the whole experience feel royal, just as their name implies. Presenting authentic traditional Indian fare in modern, minimalistic forms, Royal Indian Curry House seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary style, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The service was excellent, just as we expected. We didn’t wait long for our food, and all of the staff were well-trained, always ready to assist. But let’s talk about the real highlight—the food.

Appetizers 🌟 Vegetable Samosa – Crispy on the outside, deliciously spiced filling on the inside, and served with three flavorful and vibrant Indian chutneys that made every bite even more better.

Mains 🍛 Chole Bhature – Bhatura (North Indian deep-fried bread) paired with hearty chickpea curry. We were surprised by the bread’s lightness and puffness —it was visually striking and perfectly satisfying.

🍗 Chicken Sheek Kebab – Juicy, smoky, and packed with spices, straight off the clay oven. The hint of smokiness, combined with a squeeze of lemon, made the flavors pop.

🍛 Chicken Lababdar – A rich, flavorful chicken curry with a creamy sauce. Definitely a favorite and a must-try! This dish has officially updated my curry rankings. The Massaman curry I made in our Bangkok cooking class has just been dethroned. This Northern Indian curry now holds the top spot as of February 2025!

🍛 Murg Makhani (Butter Chicken) – Tandoori chicken bathed in a creamy, buttery tomato sauce. Their cooking technique ensured the chicken remained tender and juicy.

🍚 Hyderabadi Biryani – Of course, we couldn't dine without having biryani—fragrant and spiced rice layered with lamb chops. The soft bread on top was a perfect addition. This is the most authentic biryani I’ve ever tried. It made me want to book a flight to India just to explore their culinary scene. It was THAT good.

Sides 🥖 Cheese Naan – Soft, warm naan stuffed with melty cheese—delicious on its own. I will definitely order this again.

🥖 Butter Naan – Fluffy, buttery, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of curry.

Drinks 🥤 Rose Lassi – Light, refreshing, with a hint of floral—a perfect cool-down drink. 🥤 Mango Lassi – Slightly sour, creamy, and the ideal pairing for our meal.

Desserts 🍯 Gulab Jamun – Soft, warm, and soaked in fragrant syrup—best enjoyed with ice cream.

🍦 Ice Cream – Cold, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending.

I will definitely be coming back—this time, to bring my mother. And what better compliment is there for a dining establishment than returning to share the experience with someone you love?

This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience. Every dish, every detail, from the flavors to the ambiance, made me feel like I was dining in a royal Indian palace. If you’re craving authentic Indian food, this is THE place to visit. Dare I say, the best in Quezon...

Lariscore: 3/5 Verdict: Pricey but okay Indian food

What we ordered: Cheese Naan, Roomali Roti, Chicken Vindaloo, Matki Chicken (egg & kebab stew thing)

Let's get this out of the way: this place is very pricey. Go somewhere else; there could be better value. This place is too overpriced. The food here tasted nice but it's too overpriced to justify it really

Cheese naan was wonderful, delightfully melty and served as a nice, rich vessel for our chicken stews. It was nice and cheesy without being overly so. The cheese inside tasted like quick melt cheese product or some sort of cheddar, but it tasted great nonetheless.

The Chicken Vindaloo was rich, spicy, and had soft, tender chunks of chicken and potato. It combined very well with the cheese naan. Likewise, the Matki chicken with its cylinder-shaped kebabs and slices of hard boiled egg was also a nice surprise, being subtly sweeter and a little spicier. The kebabs in it tasted nice, well spiced, and even juicy. They were soft and overall delicious especially with the roti & naan.

Mango lassi tastes kind of normal.

The food here tastes really nice but it is simply far too overpriced to justify it. I think it's overpriced because they want the place to feel very fancy (it feels more like a lounge than a restaurant, to be honest)

Good food but pricey....

Finally, RICH in QC!

We ordered butter chicken (fave!), garlic butter naan, cheese naan, chicken tandoori, kulfi (dessert), sweet lassi, and masala tea.

Butter chicken has always been our go-to. Cheese naan was filling that it's already good on its own. Butter garlic naan complemented well with butter chicken. Their chicken tandoori was also good. I was worried that the tandoori would be too much spice for me to handle but worry not, they ask the spice level you could handle.

Of course, it would not be complete without my favorite sweet lassi. Their masala tea was okay, we were expecting that masala would be stronger but it was... meh. Or maybe masala tea isn't meant to be that strong to begin with. We also tried kulfi, their own version of ice cream made with different spices and full milk. It was a nice ending to our meal.

Our bill amounted to 3k+. It's pricey but worth the splurge once in a blue moon. Note that the prices in their menu are VAT-exclusive so don't be surprised when the bill comes because that's the time you'd see the true price of each. They also do have service charge so it really gets pricey.

Staff was truly accommodating. The place has 2 areas, the lounge and the dining area. We chose the dining area because it's quieter. Place was...
