It was our first time going to Cafe Roo, and I must say that the way the staff handle their customers from the entrance is great, considering the amount of people visiting their place. As my girlfriend and I were going upstairs, I was surprised with the noise coming from the cafe itself, since I was expecting the place to have a calm atmosphere.

I went to the counter to order food. As soon as I saw the menu, I was surprised with the pricing listed, with their mains not going below 300 pesos. Nevertheless, I was eager to try their food. I thought that the food must be worth the price. I ordered their chicken burger, and with my first bite, the chicken itself is crunchy but feels dry because of the lack of sauce. So, I asked the waitress for extra sauce and she accepted our request. I was patiently waiting for it. The problem is, twenty minutes have passed and there is still no sign of the waitress complying to my request. I don’t know if she forgot it or what, but she stood by near our table for most of the time.

Hence, I reached out to another staff that was also standing by, while the waitress cleans up the cups and tissue papers. When I reached out for my concern, the guy was just silent. He did not say anything, and he just went towards the waitress that I previously asked, whispering something towards her ear. Personally, it was rude for him to not say a single word towards me, regardless of him being a waiter or a bouncer (there is a bar upstairs). In the end, the waitress asked me if it is okay for her to give me mayonnaise or ketchup instead of the chicken burger sauce, and I humbly accepted. After a minute or two, she provided me three different sauces that I waited for so long. Because of that, I knew that it was their service that has an issue.

Overall, we did not enjoy our visit here at Cafe Roo, and it is just a one-time experience for...

Just walked out of this coffee shop. I have never experienced being humiliated in a coffee shop before. I came here with my husband to cap off a date night. It’s our first time here so I am not familiar with the menu. Usually, baristas in other coffee shops would immediately say hi or just give a welcoming remark. Not in this coffee shop. So I thought maybe they were just busy and tired. Then when I got a chance to say my order. The guy in the cashier laughed while I was reading my order out of their menu. Because I got used to another coffee shop I frequently go to wherein the sea salt series have different flavors. So i had to be clear with my order. His laugh did not sit with me well. I was supposed to let it go but he had a smirk in his face so I got annoyed and told him that he didn’t have to laugh at me. I said that I’m usually very kind but what he did was very upsetting. He didn’t even apologize.

When my husband learned about it, he went up to the guy to ask what happened and to tell him how rude he was. The guy reasoned out instead of apologizing he called their security. My husband then decided to just have our orders for takeout. When one of their lady staff went to give us our orders, it seemed like she was just going to hand then out to us. So I said that in other shops, the manager would already be apologizing at least. Upon hearing my statement, she quickly apologized. What’s sad is she had to be told to do so. :(

So yes the place is nice, but it isn’t worth the disrespect we received. I pray for that they will have better services...

Hi, we just want to give some feedback about our experience last night. We went to Café Roo to have a simple celebration with my friends. Unfortunately, there were a lot of people waiting, but we already expected that since it was the weekend.

There were so many people waiting that we were starting to get a bit bored, but we couldn’t really feel annoyed or angry because we were accommodated well. It also felt nice that the supervisor or manager (we’re not sure which) personally assisted us. She was very down to earth, and you could tell she was exhausted, yet she still made the effort to assist us properly. It honestly made us feel guilty to even think about complaining because we saw how hard she was working, so we just want to commend and give feedback on how great she was last night. We weren’t able to ask for her name or position because she was so busy, and we didn’t want to bother her further but kudos to you ma’am! This is the way to thank you, We have a feeling she holds a position because the staff were calling her “ma’am.” As for the food super yummy! Though a bit pricey. The ambiance was nice, although a bit cramped. But overall, the place was great and we had a good time were sure to...

Mar 2025: We went here late Friday night. There was a queue before we went up, but we eventually got a table for 7 pax. There was another long line at the cashier. It took us 30 mins before we could order drinks and desserts. While waiting for our companions, I ordered the Chocolate Cream Horn and Lemon Cheesecake because it was cute, and I love lemon-based desserts. The Dirty Chocolate Latte was also intriguing because it looked so yummy on the menu. I also got a hot Cafe Latte, thinking it would be served in a big, black mug. Unfortunately, the drinks were served in takeout containers, which is unappealing. The Dirty Chocolate Latte did not match the picture on the menu and tasted like a watered-down Milo drink. That's false advertising. And I'm confused because we dined in. So, why serve our drinks that way? The desserts were both disappointing. The Chocolate Cream Horn wasn't as full of cream as I expected, and the bread was too dense. The Lemon Cheesecake wasn't tart, and the topping was a sweet, lemon-flavored rubbery gelatin; it was unappetizing. The service was very slow, and the guy at the cashier wasn't friendly at all.

This cafe is always buzzing with people, and while it’s popular for a reason, there are a few things worth mentioning. First off, the atmosphere can get pretty loud due to the high traffic and the bar upstairs, so it's more of a catch-up spot than a quiet place for work or study. If you don’t mind the noise, though, it’s a fun place to hang out. The cheesecake and tiramisu were good, not too sweet and definitely hit the spot. As for the pasta, I've tried their bolognese and it was just the usual, the serving size is for one person only. There's a limited parking space in front, and it’s often full due to nearby establishments, especially with the bar crowd. One major downside was the staff. The cashier seemed overworked and wasn’t the friendliest. It felt like they were rushing through everything. Service could definitely use some improvement. Overall, this place has potential, but the customer service could use a bit of a boost to match the rest of the experience. If you’re not bothered by the wait and a bit of noise, it’s worth checking out for the desserts and social atmosphere.
