Maybe our unpleasant experience was a one-off for this branch, but it's still enough for us to choose other branches instead even though Mitsukoshi is our go-to mall.
There was a promo that clearly stated customers get an extra side of potato wedges if you purchase 2 items like 2 burgers, and such. I chose a burger set with a side and a drink, while my partner preferred his ala carte since the drink that comes with the set can't be changed to a soda.
After receiving the order and realizing that we didn't receive extra potato wedges, I politely asked the staff who put out our order at the counter.
At this time, a customer was giving her order to the cashier. The cashier told this customer, in quite a rude manner, "wait lang po" while holding up her hand, and she clearly looked impatient and displeased. This customer was taken aback and stopped talking, then the cashier impatiently told me that since the other burger wasn't in a set, it doesn't qualify for the promo.
Now, two things: We carefully read the display about the promo at the counter, even reading what entails through the tiny asterisk. At the bottom, in tiny font, it just clarified that the "2 items" needed to be a burger, or a sandwich, etc. No indication at all that it has to be a set and not ala carte.
The free potato wedges was indicated in the receipt, and the cashier just impatiently told me that it was a mistake and she just forgot to remove it, since she initially assumed that the 2nd burger was a set too.
Maybe that really was the fine print of the promo and the management just failed to clarify this on their display. Either way, the cashier clerk's way of handling this fell short.
First off, she wasn't the one being asked the question and the staff I asked was about to respond. To butt in, she had to rudely stop another customer from giving out her order. The customer was literally mid-sentence and she had to stop talking. And then, to top it all off, she responded to my inquiry in a very impatient and rude manner, as if I was such a nuisance for asking something simple so politely.
I digressed, and just said "OK". Maybe this staff member was just having a bad day, but it was no excuse to handle such a simple situation in that manner.
To the branch manager: your staff could use some serious customer service training.
Their food still slaps though. Mo's does good in standardizing their food quality across all branches. 5 stars for the food, 1 for the weirdly...
Read moreI enjoyed the food but the tables were sticky, and there was spilled brown liquid on the floor under the table. It looks like they cleaned but weren't thorough because the tables and floor look clean from afar, but I took a closer look and saw dried sauce not wiped completely, and when I adjusted the table, I touched something wet and sticky 😣. Be sure to bring a sanitizer if you get a sticky table. I overheard from the next table their tea tasted like cockroaches. They should improve cleanliness...

Burger was delicious but personally I'd like a larger size for the price I've paid. The hash is a nice visual treat but other than that it tastes like normal hashbrowns - cooked crispy though.
On a late Wednesday afternoon, it's not too busy as I would guess, the price deters most customers - which can be a good thing if you're looking for some quiet space.
There are different table setups depending on how many you are. The place is clean...
