This will be a strange one to review. It was one of the best and worst meals ive had. The service was terrible, it took 1hr 15 mins to order starters and 50 mins to get our first drinks. The waiter was working very hard but they were seriously understaffed for a Saturday night in the middle of tourist season. And the bar man was new so the drinks took an eternity to arrive. We ended up getting a round from the restaurant next door 😅. Having said all the the food was amonst the best ive had anywhere. We had a selection of starters and they were all unbelievable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the prawns/ the tuna/ the beef tatar and the venison gnocchi. I had the special of the wild boar, it was phenomenal. 4 of our party had the A5 wagu and sid it was the best steak they had ever tasted, phrases like mouth orgasm were thrown round. The waiter was very apologetic and gave us complimentary cherry shots and a 10% The price was already very reasonable prior to the discount. On another evening i could see this being 5stars all round but 3hr 15 mins for 2 courses...

Had a delightful lunch here yesterday - a fish soup with a perfectly cooked mix of seafood served in a clear broth with a Thai accent, then a whole crab with a spicy black ink pasta - the crab was difficult to eat, but the friendly and engaged staff provided all of the necessary weapons-utensils. A short, but well chosen wine list - we ordered a terrific bottle of Primitivo. And the drinks guy knew that the Chopin vodka appertif was best served from a bottle chilled in the freezer (and never a room temperature). What was especially appealing is that our two waiters (without any loss of efficiency) made clear that we were welcome to linger as long as we desired and brought surprise little treats from time to time to encourage us to stay.
