Best lounge/bar i have ever been to. even the experience trying to find the place is a ton of fun. you are lead through a coat room of a different restaurant and up a flight of stairs to get to Mercy Browns, and when the receptionist opens the door you are greeted with a soft glow of warm light and 20s style music. the atmosphere is absolutely perfect and very inviting. The bartenders are all very knowledgeable and experts in their craft. it is so much fun to watch them make drinks so i would definitely recommend sitting at the bar. it’s like you are watching a show! every single drink i tried (around 6-8) was spot on and left me wanting to try the whole menu. I would recommend getting the “moody” if you like stronger drinks. and to round everything off every single staff member was so kind. i’m a 22 year old woman solo traveling, and going to bars alone can sometimes be a little intimidating. but ALL the bartenders made me feel so welcome, and engaged in conversation with me throughout the night. they all even did a round of shots with me which was so much fun and a highlight of my trip to Krakow. special shout out to Bartek and Łukasz. They are truly experts in their craft, very attentive (making sure my water glass was never empty, and always checking in on me), and so friendly. The majority of my good experience at mercy browns was thanks to them! They were so great that i had to come back the next day, and I even brought another solo traveler i met in my hostel. Do not miss this place. it’s an absolute gem, and you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable time!

This was my second visit to this place and I absolutely love it here. The thing I like the most is the theme and the ambience. I like that the bar is hidden and you need to basically “know” where to go to be let in. You go through some shady staircase and shady rooms before you end up here. They managed to portray the 1920s speakeasy bar era very very successfully. The drinks are amazing. On my first visit, they had a different menu with their “Mercy Brown special drinks” and to be frank, I liked that more than their new concept now. Now they have a new concept which basically consists of series of drinks that look the same but taste different. Even though it is an interesting concept, I must say, to me at least, the previous concept of various glamorous looking drinks was way nicer. I really hope that they bring the previous menu back. The service is really extraordinary. The staff is always attentive and they always refill your water which is really nice of them. The atmosphere is self explanatory. It’s really beautiful there. The only thing I might add is that the music could be a bit better. I came on a Sunday and I was expecting a live-jazz like before. Although this time they just played some jazz covers which is fine but some of the covers were really well.. not suitable for jazz. For example, there was a jazz cover of Justin Bieber which tbh I never imagined to hear that. Nevertheless, I really like this place and I definitely would come back third time or more.

I did not expect to love this place as much as I did. I had been told by other bartenders and friends in Kraków that it used to be really good but wasn't the same anymore since it got really popular. Nothing is further from my experience. Compared to most other cocktail bars in Kraków, it was incredibly welcoming, warm, and amazing cocktails! Everyone working there is awesome. They are incredibly talented making drinks and super friendly to everyone, and each other which is always wonderful to see people who seem to legit enjoy their jobs and their coworkers. We loved it so much we came back multiple times. We tried so many of their signatures, and I'll be totally honest, some weren't the best I've had ever, but none were bad. They're great at the classics, too. The standout drinks were the bespoke ones, and they weren't afraid to try unique things randomly (seaweed + cognac, for example) which I find an excellent sign of a bartender who knows their spirits. Loved this crew, loved the drinks, loved the time we spent there. Felt like I made new friends by the end of our stay in Kraków. Complimentary pickle juice shots are always fun. It may be popular, but don't let anyone convince you it's not worth checking out because it "used to be better". It's still fantastic.

A real speakeasy wonderful feel to the place. We had a table booked from 10pm until midnight but had arrived at 8:30pm in the hope of maybe getting a table earlier and we were so lucky that they took us. Our booking was amended so we spent our entire time sitting at the bar which was a fabulous experience watching the talented staff at work. The entrance is unmarked; we made our way to a brightly lit building and on entering, a restaurant was situated to our right and a serious looking man sitting a table in front of a black curtain straight ahead of us. We approached and said we had a booking and there was a discreet call made before someone appeared through the curtain (all very clandestine!) where he proceeded in taking us through, jackets off, and then followed him up a flight of stairs and through the door......gorgeous bar, dimly lit, VERY busy with a great atmosphere. A mix of velvet armchairs around small tables, french chairs around smaller tables, leather sofas and bar stools. We were absolutely mesmerised by the talent behind the bar, in particular Maya - even more blown away to find out it was her first night! Mercy Brown, you have a star in Maya - she was wonderful. The selection of cocktails was brilliant - some very unusual combinations that shouldn't work on paper, but really do work so well. We loved our time at Mercy Brown and this is definitely on our list of places to visit again when...
