Do not go if you have a large party. They are not equipped or trained for large parties. We went with 17. Made the reservation 3.5 weeks in advance. They had is in the lower level. Fine, not an issue. Here is what we experienced: 1. Water, napkins, silverware or plates had to be asked for several times, and most came around 1 hr. Even as we ordered pierogi appetizers, you'll see in the pic, we had to eat then over napkins. 2. Drinks were ordered, also came around the 1 hour mark... Pic is there showing out empty table, but can't show you time stamp after 1 hr with no drinks. Waiter was not experienced enough to uncork the wine. We had to assist after he broke the cork. 3. One friends dish didn't come at all. Had to be reordered. See pic of us all eating with our friend not having anything. 4. Then when her "medium" steak arrived, it came rare. See pic. We tried to continue to cook it on our hot stones, but by then, the stones were cool. All of these issues and a few more, such as missed sides, wrong cooking of the steaks etc, seemed to be blown off by the staff who said "all the steaks are cooked the same so it doesn't matter" and then the head chef came down to talk to us (after the waiter said we could get free desserts for our trouble 😂). Chef said they are still a fairly new restaurant and some things still needed to be worked out. Not a fan of the service. They seem to have paid for lots of marketing on the facebook websites, such as "krakow best travel tips ", as nothing but glowing reviews and as soon as I said be careful, I was kicked out of group. So just be warned, not all you read on the Facebook groups are from legit users. Thanks friends,...
Read moreI came here yesterday and a single diner, I came a head of my booked time which was no problem. After being seated I was handed some menus to look through. I'd been sat for about 20 minutes before someone came over to ask if I wanted a drink. The drink took forever, after this I was sat waiting for someone to come over to take my order.... Finally someone came and I had ordered, I ordered a starter and I wanted to think a bit more about the main after asking questions. I eventually flagged someone and they took my main order. My starter arrived which was good. A mother and son who just arrived sat next to me, they ordered and there food came out in no time. After my starter I was sat again waiting for ages for the main to come out. Eventually it did, no one actually came over to see if everything was OK, if I needed anything, another drink... I did want another drink and probably would've got a dessert but the service was so bad. The food itself was good, maybe a little salty but good. The staff are the issue with not really being trained enough. After flagging someone for the bill, someone else approached me to ask if I would like anything else and I just said the bill. On receiving the bill, i thought I'm not waiting for someone to come and collect it and went to the front desk to pay. Where all the waitresses were standing around. The service is terrible, well was for me. I could see other tables being waited on and even the table next to me seemed to get their food and service quick. I think management need to...
Read moreSo disappointed 😞, we were really looking forward to our visit to Krakow and followed a group for tips and best places to eat and found Mr Jerrys for our first night and it all looked amazing and our kind of place . Booked well in advance as it was close to Christmas .Now what disappointed us most was where we were sat , I requested a table by the window, which I know is a request and not guaranteed, but we were sat down in the basement alone no atmosphere no widow nothing. This wouldn't of been a major issue had it been late it was 6.30 or we had no reservation but we did and there was 2 tables for 4 minimum by the bar that we passed that were empty when we arrived and when we left, which was faster than we usually would as it really did affect the mood . There was no ambience or atmosphere and it was a bit cold ,2 other tables were seated half way through which I also noticed where British I'd hate to think that's why we were down there and all the upstairs and best tables were for the locals but that's honestly how it felt and we ate and left whereas as normally we would of stayed for extra drinks and deserts. The food we had was nice although extremely salty to the point we couldn't eat a lot , we had the mixed platter as that's what we came for and my son had a burger which was great from what he said the best meal he had while we were in Poland and the Belgium fries were also great . Staff member serving us was also nice but absent as up and down . Probably wouldn't go again when we next visit based on this...
