It was a unique experience at this restaurant! This restaurant was amazing from the start! The place looks like a real castle. It felt like we were dining somewhere special and magical. The atmosphere was really nice — calm, cozy, and perfect for a date night or warm family celebration (like we had) Our server was great! Super friendly, always checking on us at the right time, and made sure we had everything we needed. You could tell they really cared about doing a good job. The food? So good! Everything we ordered tasted fresh and full of flavor. The presentation was nice too — you could tell the kitchen puts effort into every dish. We tried duck dumplings, mussels and tartar for appetisers- everything tasted great! It was one of the best tartar i ever have. For main course we tried duck, Ribeye Steak, Salmon and Chicked - all of them was cocked perfect Overall, we had a great time. The setting, the service, and the food all came together to make it a fun and special dinner. Highly recommend it if you want a unique and enjoyable night out!

We experienced this restaurant as a mix of good and less good things. To start with the good: the starter 'terrina z foie gras' was a winner; the kumquat dressing in particular was a perfect base for the foie gras due to its mix of sweet, bitter and fresh sour (tip: from now on, do not put this dressing over the foie but next to it). And dessert was a strikingly creative end to an otherwise good meal. It consisted of cheesecake, which was presented very beautifully. On top was a garnish (fermented hibiscus leaves if I understand correctly) and that gave a very nice flavor combination. But why not wash that garnish better; now the sand in it crunched between your teeth with every bite. The terrace itself was very messy and lacked atmosphere in terms of decoration and lighting. The friendly service could do little to change that (especially if you start cleaning up when there are still guests there). These are negative points that can be resolved with some effort, and then the beautiful dishes get the place they deserve.

I was in Padre on Monday at 2 PM for lunch without previous reservation. There were a lot of free tables on this time. The basement is very cool in the hot Summer day. The terase with garden is wonderful. I took beef tenderloin tartare as starter, and it was really delicious. I ate a pappardelle with beef on the main course. The pasta was good. On the dessert - goat cheese delicacy. It was brilliant. Love it. I preferred the Polish white semi dry wine. As I like more sweet wines this one was very tasty for me. Cocktail Mohito was good, but nothing exceptional - fresh, juicy taste. Starter, pasta, water, glass of wine, dessert, Mohito - 58 eur. The waiter Daniel was very warm and welcoming. He suggested the dishes, and wines very professionaly and was polite - offered the charger for my mobile. I recommend Padre if you want charming atmosphere, quality and tasty food, excellent and friendly service.

We visited here in 2020 just before lockdown and the food was incredible me and my Mum said it was some of the beer food we’d ever eaten. Naturally we booked it again for 2025 for 7 of us, as the reviews were still really good. We were so disappointed. We booked our table for 8PM, they put up banners as we were celebrating my brothers 21st but that is literally the only good thing I can say. The service was terrible, two servers for a whole restaurant does not work. We ordered our drinks starters and mains, 9:20PM comes around we’ve still had no food, nobody came over to update us we had to try and find somebody to ask!! The same thing happened with our mains and we didn’t get them until 10:30PM, no update again we chased and got told 2 minutes for over 40 minutes. There was one other big table, but do not take bookings if you cannot cater for them. The food was poor, nothing like we remembered it has gone massively downhill and was our most expensive meal. The fillet steak came with dry potatoes and a cold tomato. They didn’t charge us for the wine but it’s besides the point, I really wouldn’t waste your time there’s so many better...

On the day we arrived to Krakow we decided to take a walk in the Old Town. Padre was the first restaurant we spotted and the menu looked good. So good indeed that I convinced the Missus to go back after our walk. It was a good decision. The place is in a basement. Nice moderate interior design. The place is more on the elegant side compared to the tourist traps on Rynek Glowny. The food was really good. We had zurek (sour Polish soup) and cold beet soup, my personal favourite. The missus had halibut filet and I chose the pork chop. These dishes are Polish classics and the were prepared in a refined, professional way. Everything was in the right temperature, texture etc. The staff speaks good English. The waitress gave expert advice on vodka. Drinking vodka shots in a classy restaurant might seem a bit off but hey, this is Poland! They also had good lager beer from the AGH University brewery. Pricewise, well it's not a kebab shop but it was well worth every penny we spent. I would gladly go again and recommend the place for couples or smaller (3-4 people) groups. Good food, good service,...

Stumbled across this lovely restaurant whilst on our way to the main square to find somewhere for dinner. Knowing how crowded the main square would be, we decided to give it a try. We were enticed in by the quaint little courtyard dining area and the delicious sounding dishes on the menu. I'm so glad that we chose Padre. The courtyard dining area had a great ambience. Daniel, our waiter was excellent, he was attentive, friendly, efficient, and guided us through the menu, recommending dishes for us to try. The service was very good, our food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. My wife had the duck dumplings to start followed by the salmon. I had the Polish sour rye soup 'zurek' followed by the traditional pork chop, and a glass of Polish wine. Overall we had a great dining experience and will most definitely eat there again when we return to Krakow. Although we dined outside, the restaurant interior dining area looked fantastic, virtually entirely decorated in white. A big thank you and well done to the team at Padre and in particular our waiter, Daniel.

Steve...
