Unbelievably good, especially being so close to the Old Town Square!
We ordered the compote to drink, which had a variety of ripe & delicious fruits in it. We started with the pickled cucumber soup, which has become a favorite of ours since visiting Lithuania. This bowl of soup was perfection. The broth was so flavorful & briney, and it had a generous amount of cucumber, potatoes, & dill. We want to try and recreate this recipe when we get back to the USA!
We also ordered the meatball with potatoes and beetroot salad. The meatball was lightly fried, and had tons of flavor. The beetroot salad was seasoned well, as were the potatoes.
We also ordered the pork roast, which was topped with a yummy gravy, and served with dumplings & fried sauerkraut, which was to die for.
All of this was 90 zł, which isn’t the cheapest meal we’ve had in Poland by far, but it was worth every bit. Super friendly...
Read moreI felt like I was going to someone's home to eat. The place is small we sat at the table with other people. There is bar style seating by the window and street seating. They apparently are opening a new location 1/11/2024 (Nov. 1 for Americans). The food is über amazing. I am going to go out on a limb... So delicious and possibly the best we have had since being in Poland a year. No we have not been in a box. There might be places that have a tasty schnitzel, or another a great meat platter. This place has grandma's recipe food for a great price. The pierogies are so soft and pillowy, the pork neck flavorful and tender. The pork schnitzel was a perfect size and the potatoes so lovely. As soon as you get a chance make...
Read moreHi, really nice polish food. I was walking 2h through Poznan to find a few places where Polish kitchen would be served. This is one which I found. What a shame that there is plenty of sushi, shoarma, pizza and burgers, kebabs places and very seldom you can find traditional Polish food. So I ate pork ribbs with baby potatoes, and sauerkraut - lovely, drank kompot, fruit based polish soft drink. Then I spoke to selling lady, which offered their schabowy (pork fried meat) next time. I laughed as I can cook it on my own, but she said that I cannot cook it like that. So, next time I would try it. Nice customer care, smile and a good food. Recommending that place if you like to try Polish...
