Initially given the place 3 stars (old review below) but after they reacted to it that I'm "definitely not credible" based on that I average 2 reviews per dag which might be true when I'm on vacation but I average probably closer to 1 review per 15 days. Even if that was true it's a ridiculously stupid argument if it can be called one. Especially considering they didn't adress anything specific points I made.
I don't think that people who imply that people who give a detailed justification of their opinion are lying and/or confused deserve to stay in business.
Below is my old review in which I only edited that the pepper was red and expensive salt was given for free.
Friendly staff but they don't always pay attention. First I asked what a pastille was it turned out to be a filled puff pastry. I mentioned that there is a seafood one not sure if I accidentally confirmed that I wanted a chicken one so the mistake could be on me. I ordered it and a soup which was very good except for lacking complexity, coming with whole red pepper corns and being too acidic too add extra lime wedge juice it came with. I also liked it a bit more salty and was given some needlessly expensive flaky salt (which came free). When they asked what size it is he said regular while menu states 23/31 and that I will pay the lower price. Pastille was a failed experiment: puff pastry covered in almonds and icing sugar (I'm not making this up) with a filling of nuts an almost tasteless chicken paste... Since I had to wait over 15 min for the soup and over 10 for the check which came with higher soup price...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Dom Otwarty in Warsaw, and as a Moroccan, I can confidently say that the tagine with sheep meat is absolutely authentic and tastes incredible—exactly as it should. It truly transported me back to Moroccan soil, as if it were prepared by a Moroccan woman for her guests at home.
I also tried the zaalouk, and the way it was prepared with eggplant was magical—perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The Moroccan tea served here is another highlight, made with care and following the traditional Moroccan way.
The owners make this place even more special. The husband is Moroccan, and his wife is Polish, and they are some of the kindest and most welcoming people you’ll meet. Their hospitality makes you feel right at home, and their passion for sharing Moroccan culture and flavors is clear in every dish.
I highly recommend this restaurant to Moroccans living in or visiting Poland, as well as to anyone curious to experience the true essence of Moroccan cuisine. The flavors are genuine, the service is warm, and the experience is unforgettable. Here’s a glimpse of the dishes I enjoyed—both look and...
Read moreWhile there was nothing really wrong with the place I am a bit surprised when it comes to the positive reviews this place has received. The restaurant is super cute but tiny, which is fine, but the tables are also very small (the ones for two at least) so its pretty uncomfortable to eat. We were seated by the door and it was very distracting with people coming in and out. Staff is very nice. Food was a big disappointment unfortunately. The portions are tiny, more of an appetizer size than a meal. The menu is already quite limited and they were out of some items we wanted to try. I was looking forward to the tagine (I was in Morocco multiple times, and 'm familiar with the flavours) but it was just so so average. Watermelon salad was ...weird? The flavours didnt work for me. It was seriously very little food and tiny portions. I'd go back there maybe for lunch if the weather is nice enough to sit outside but wouldn't make...
