Disappointing steak, pleasant enough service.
Ordered a ribeye rare (ribeye from a bull and not a heifer). Steak was dry and was hilariously overcooked, at least a medium if not medium well. Asked the waiter to confirm, he insisted that it was done to a rare. Steak was tough and chewy, and hard to go down. Tastes ok and seasoning was well done. Did not taste like prime beef, but still is of good quality and decent marbling. Did not finish my steak, however. Sides are quite good though, especially the chips (steak fries). Price was a wee bit above average.
Small selection of beer and whiskey/brandy/cognac. A decent wine list though.
Service was all smiles and quite pleasant up until the very end. There was no response/apology/rectification to the verbal complaint that the steak was overcooked. This overcooked steak downright ruined the experience. And it did take them quite a while to grill up a steak to a rare.
Ironic was that they do not do takeaway steaks because appearantly the steaks will continue cooking while in transit, giving an undesired doneness on consumption.
There are better (and cheaper) steaks at Winners Steakhouse, and at a stretch, Campo, all within the vicinity of the restaurant.
Definitely not a 1 star experience, but 2 stars is being generous. Will not return and cannot recommend...
Read moreThe worst experience I have ever had in the history of eating beef. I went there with a friend after long time without beef. We ordered one of the most expensive dishes: 3 types of meat (2 steaks of each kind, MEDIUM RARE), grilled vegetables and some dips. I started with tenderloin. My mouth was full of saliva and I wanted it so badly untill I touched that bite with my tongue. I felt like I put wet pice of plywood. I thought it was just first pice, thinner than other part, so I took another bite from the thickest side. My mouth got dry but eyes started watering up. I've cut every steak in half and the meat wasn't even pink.. It was white like it would just came back form holidays on the Sun! In addition everything was so soaked with smoke that almost no other taste was palpable.. Waitress was polite and wanted to help but that self-styled cook said "This meat propably reached this level on plate." ON A PLATE!! 3min after it was seved?! 2-3 levels?! Nothing could be done.. If you don't want to ruin your meal/day/week (or months in my case)...

In the shortest possible, this place serves some of the best beef I've ever eaten.
We picked the meat selection for 2 people, 3 different sauces, and grilled veggies. Top quality meat cooked to perfection, each of the three cuts were simply to die for! The vegetables were fresh and well grilled, with just about enough crunch still in them. And to compliment the entire dish, the sauces: peppercorn was definitely our favourite, smoky whisky was extremely interesting with a lot of bursting flavours and BBQ reinvented the idea of what this sauce should taste like and was just yummy.
On top of all that, we received super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service. Also, great job with the decor and atmosphere this spot offers.
A huge well done to this place, and we will be back!
