I very much enjoyed dining at Restourante Santo António. The room has a charming and relaxing ambience. I could tell that the local folk there were enjoying their meal. I did not notice any tourists, other than myself, which felt nice. The staff are helpful and accommodating. They even kindly let me use their phone charger.
The food looked and tasted freshly prepared and was so satisfying to the taste buds, and was reasonably priced. The grilled Sea Bass Dourada was ravishing and it came with a suitable array of vegetables which were cooked to perfection. I also had a scintillating traditional salad Montanheira which was refreshing and also went very well with the fish.

Read moreSto Antonio has a very lovely terrace and some good food. I think it is also a less touristic place and you find some locals there aswell, which is great! Me and my gf were served by Wilson. He is a very sympathic and nice guy, even his english is not very well, he really tried to explain us the menu and gave his best to entertain us. All in all a very nice experience. We ordered a veggie risotto and spare ribs with a tomato salad on the side.
Dont expect any fancy sauces or spices, just classic good food.

It is very good local cuisine cooked simply but so good. The service and food great.
