A perfect place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We visited it a few times during our stay to try as many dishes as possible since they were delicious and fresh. Once we got there first time there was no point looking for another place to have a meal. We got grilled salmon (one of the best I’ve ever had!), milho frito, codfish croquetes, espada, pamcakes pastel de nata, bolo de mel, different types of lemonade and coffee, toasts with avocados and scrambled eggs, croissants with ham and cheese, carbonara and pasta with veggies. The place is quite cheap in comparison to other places in the city which don’t serve as good and as big dishes as Pimenthina. Go there if you are starving- the portions are enormous and we sometimes had a struggle to finish the dishes up 😅 the staff is cheerful and chatty, happy to serve and feed you 😅 when the weather’s fine it’s nice to sit outside and absorb the city’s atmosphere with your meal. Highly reccomend and will definitely come back there if I ever visit...

They also have a new weekend brunch menu, and they're open on Sundays, which isn't always the case for Madeiran restaurants.
But the best part of Pimentinha are the friendly employees who work there. They are genuinely nice people who work hard and provide great service. They speak English too, for those who are visiting Madeira.
Overall, I highly...

That's ridiculous for Madeira standard.
What made it worse was there was no list showing the prices. When I asked for the bill, the server looked annoyed and surprised.
It felt like they were keeping it a secret. It's frustrating not to have any idea how much things cost until you get the bill.
If you're thinking about going there, just be careful and ask about the prices before you order. I'd rather spend my money at a place with the price upfront and a normal...
