We ate at the restaurant on New Years and it was a horrible experience! They told us to come at 9:30 sharp and then they kept us waiting outside for 25 minutes. We were finally seated and no one came to take our drink order or to give us bread for another 25 minutes. Meanwhile other tables are getting some service. After finally getting some bread and our drinks, we got a mediocre first course. Then again we received no service. At 11:30 we saw other tables getting their desserts while we (and the tables beside us) were still waiting for the main course. My husband asked the waiter what was going on and he didn’t seem to realize we hadn’t gotten our food. Meanwhile other tables were finished and able to head to see fireworks for the new year but we were stuck waiting. We got our dessert at 11:50, and had to ask for the bill twice so that we could get out and celebrate new years with fireworks. There was no apology about the horrible service or that they made it impossible for us to have any plans for the night. They still charged the full price for the fixed menu and the food was mediocre. Overall this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had in...

We started with the shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine and cherry tomatoes, simply outstanding. Perfectly cooked, plump shrimp, with a fragrant yet balanced garlic oil, and sweet tomatoes that brought harmony to every bite. The codfish with corn bread crust, greens and crushed potatoes was a masterclass in tradition and texture: crispy on top, moist and delicate inside. The grilled octopus with black potato purée was technically impeccable. Tender yet crisp, with a smoky depth, beautifully contrasted by the rich, creamy ink-infused mash. The braised tuna with grilled vegetables and teriyaki sauce, topped with sesame seeds, was a fusion delight, seared outside, silky inside, resting on vibrant, al dente vegetables. To drink, a classic Negroni, balanced, bold, and fragrant with fresh orange peel. A perfect match to the meal. The setting is warm and stylish: stone walls, bookshelves, plants, and vintage touches create an intimate, inviting atmosphere. The service was flawless, attentive, professional, and...
Read moreThe place is inviting, but unfortunately we weren’t satisfied with the food. First I ordered soup of the day, which lacked any seasoning (I had to add salt to make it edible), and even had something in it that grinded under my teeth. For mains we had lamb chops and octopus, and it was just sad. The lamb dish had very little actual meat in it, and even that was chewy, the knife provided didn’t stand a chance. The sides lacked flavour and were too much compared to the small amount of lamb. The octopus dish tasted good, but was a very small amount of octopus and a lot of the side. All in all we were neither full nor very happy with our meals, even though we notably chose two of the more expensive dishes. This was our most expensive meal in Lisbon during our 8 days here and the worst at that… The atmosphere and the waitress were nice, but we rather wish the...
