Ourives Petisqueira — Restaurant in Lisbon

I'm so happy I stumbled into this restaurant. I found this restaurant on my way to another restaurant. originally, I made a reservation for 1 person at 8 pm (while standing outside of the restaurant) because that was the earliest availability online. Luckily, when I walked in 1 hour earlier they were able to seat me. The food was spectacular, I couldn’t stop myself from finishing the entire thing. I ordered garlic prawns, their rice dish, and lamb chops. I don’t even like lamb chops, but I finished it and deep down wished there were more (it was that good). Outside of their food, their waitress Maria deserves equal praise. She made me feel so comfortable and continued to check on me while dining. She made sure all of my needs were met. I’m sad I discovered this place on my last night in Lisbon. If not, I would have been there many more times. Thank you all for the wonderful food, and even better service! I wish you all...

We were here on a Tuesday night - restaurant was full but not crowded. Lots of travelers (like ourselves). The interior is well decorated and definitely creates a nice vibe.

Service was friendly and attentive. Food and drink came quickly, and we felt prices were very reasonable.

We ordered lamb chops and a trio of croquettes (two codfish and one spinach, they were out of the meat one)

Codfish croquettes were excellent - light and crispy, filling was smooth and tasty. Would order again.

Spinach croquettes were odd - exterior was also light and crisp, but the filling was a bit soggy and pasty.

Lamb chops were disappointing - extremely thin and a bit dry. The flavor was good and chimichurri was nice, but they overall were lacking.

We wanted to love it here - we enjoyed the great service and fun / intimate ambiance, but ultimately the food...

We waited about an hour and half to get a burger and prawns that takes very little time to make on a Tuesday night! The owner apologized but did nothing to make up for the horrible service. The waiter forgot to bring us our appetizer before our meal and the water I asked for three times!! The food was mediocre at best. The waiter spilled the complementary liquor all over me. Yes the worst, avoid this place if you don't want your evening ruined. Update: I do not appreciate your lies about the spilling of the liqure. I do not touch servers when they serve this is rediculous. My review stands and karma will get you for this, you deserve to...
