TLDR do not got it’s a tourist trap.
We were trying to go to their sister restaurant but was told it was fully booked even though there were plenty of empty tables. A manager/head waiter came out and led us to its affiliate restaurant few doors down saying it was just as good. My wife ordered the house label wine which wasn’t good… later we saw one of the waiter go behind the bar and pour left over wine back into a bottle from the table that just left. I immediately told my wife to stop drinking it and cross our fingers that there was a good explanation for what we just witnessed.
Most of our food was not good… the steak was mostly fat and chewy, squid was not fresh, tuna tartare was doused in sauce to the point all we tasted was just the sauce, sea bass over cooked and dry, however the Octopus was actually good.
We should have left as soon as we felt something was amiss but we were too tired and hungry and let our guard down.

Read moreI was made to feel extremely unwelcome immediately upon arrival by a waiter that turned into me and then squeezed my arm several times quite aggressively and accosted me in Portuguese.
Unfortunately it went downhill from there as the food was extremely mediocre at best. We were brought bread, olives and some other starters we did not ask for and were charged 1.50 each. The soup had no flavour whatsoever, the Codfish was quite dry and salty. I tried to finish most of it and when taking the plate the waiter again accosted me for not finishing the last piece. I hate waste but it was just far too salty.
Also, I ordered a salad which never arrived but to be honest I'm glad it didn't. It was about 60 Euros for 2 people with two drinks each too so quite poor value I'd say. It seemed to be mainly tourists in there and I...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of eating at a Gaúcha the third night of our stay in lisbon. Rana and his collegues took great care of us the entire evening with little to no error. We were served carefully and the whole staff was very competent and patient in communicating in a foreign language. The food was just right, I would highly recommend the salmon as a starter, other than that our table had the octopus, the bbq pork ribs, the mixed kebab and the t-bone steak. Some of these dishes were surprizing, yet prepared very well. To eat here, was a lovely end to a long day and I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a solid,...
