Bueno y Guapo — Restaurant in Lisbon

We decided to check out this place after reading all the positive reviews about their tacos… but - we were disappointed. We ordered the chicken tacos which was dry and lacking in taste. Less salt and seasoning. Bland. Plus they put loads of shredded lettuce underneath the chicken so it looks “ wow so full but on biting into it you get mostly the taste of lettuce and a bit of plain chicken “ 😬 We have had better tacos elsewhere. I Would wanna forget the taste of this places tacos . We also ordered some fried shrimp which looked all fine and delicious- but that too is just good for taking pictures .. on biting into it we realized they’ve used frozen shrimp and it did not have the crunch to the bite on is supposed to get when one bites into a cooked shrimp… it was all soft and yucky inside. We would not trust it. And finally… drinks - we ordered a pina colada which was totally watered down with hardly a hint of rum in it, mostly shaved ice and a dash of coconut essence - again, sadly disappointed and dissatisfied. Ambiance was good, location is great… waitresses are sweet , but what’s the point of the food and drinks...

Extremely Disappointed – Vegetarian Served Chicken Despite Clear instructions

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends, and one of us, who is a lifelong vegetarian, clearly informed the staff multiple times that they wanted a vegetarian meal. Shockingly, they were served a chicken burrito instead of a soya burrito.

What's interesting was a serious oversight that completely disregarded a dietary preference that had been clearly communicated more than once.

When we brought it to the waitress’s attention, her response was shockingly indifferent, just a flat “sorry” with no trace of empathy or accountability in her expressions. It felt as if she just wanted to finish her shift and go back home. She also outright refused any refund, replacement, or even a small gesture of goodwill and said they don't care about the reviews that they'll be receiving online after this incident.

We left feeling unheard and mistreated. If you have any dietary restrictions or expect even basic customer service, I would strongly advise thinking twice before...

Bueno y Guapo brings a fun, casual vibe to Lisbon with its colorful decor and lively atmosphere. The food is pretty good, especially the tacos and quesadillas — tasty, fresh, and nicely seasoned. 🌯 However, it’s not quite wow level; the flavors are fine but could use a bit more punch to stand out in Lisbon’s busy food scene.

Service is friendly but can be a bit slow when it’s crowded. Prices are fair, and the cocktails are a nice surprise — refreshing and well mixed. 🍹

✅ Verdict: A solid spot for a relaxed meal with friends, but not something you’ll dream about later. Good, not great — 7/10.
