The Folks Blue Street - Specialty Coffee, Breakfast & Brunch — Restaurant in Lisbon

Had breakfast at The Folks, Blue Street outlet as my first ever meal at Lisbon. It is located on a walking street, so there were al fresco seating outside the cafe.

For food we ordered the chicken toast, roast beef sandwich, salmon toast and raspberry pancake. The toasts were delicious!

Chicken Toast: my absolute favourite. It came with lots of shredded lettuce salad, quail eggs, and chopped apples so it felt very refreshing and light which was ideal for breakfast. The brioche itself was savoury tasty. Portion is huge, I reckon it can be shared by two.

Roast Beef Sandwich: this was more savoury and tasted great as well. My only complain is that the roast beef had sinews hence some parts were impossible to chew.

Salmon Toast: my 2nd favourite. Salty as it is cured salmon, well prepared and balanced with its cream cheese, red onion pickle and fresh dill.

Raspberry Pancake: my least favourite of the lot, perhaps it is because I don't have a sweet tooth.

I ordered a hot Americano. It kick started my morning as needed, slight acidity.

Would I come here again? Absolutely.

Would I order the chicken toast again? Haha, I actually did at...

I really liked this place. I loved the service, the vibe and most importantly the food. I got chia pudding with berries and coconuts. Every bit of this food was amazing. It is w oat milk. The sweetness was right. The berries and even the coconut shavings were all so fresh and good. There was a bit of some kind of berries that brought tartness to this dish that balanced the sweetness even more. I give 10 out of 10!:) The Syrniki, a Ukrainian panckae was amazing!:)) it was a thick pancake with outer layer of probably pancake batter and inside beautiful soft cottage cheese on bed of I think yogurt or cream. Every bite delivers little crunch of outer layer and soft texture of cottage cheese. It was 10/10 too!:) our coffees , cappuccino and tiramisu latte was very good and I loved the creativity w the latte!:) The Benedict that my husband had was very good but I didn’t try. It was a very pleasant breakfast experience!:) clean and good quality...

Decided to go here for brunch after reading excellent reviews. The food is decent enough, though the waitress got our oder wrong. Even after she came to check again what we ordered. Zero apology for the extra wait. From the moment we stepped in it felt like there was a negative atmosphere with the staff. Not friendly and no eye contact. I ordered a latte and asked for it to be extra hot. I received a less than lukewarm coffee. After 2 or 3 sips I told the waitress the coffee is cold. She spoke to the barista and came with an explanation of the milk would split if too hot. Weird how some places are able to make it hot with no negative milk problem! So the bill came and the coffee was still on it. I was again met with attitude when I questioned it. Perhaps because it was a Monday morning....tired unfriendly staff after the weekend? Either way, based on our experience it is certainly not the reviews worth. Many other FRIENDLY options to choose...
