Not at all what we expected having read the reviews. We waited outside in a queue, there were empty tables inside and when we went in to ask to be seated the staff said they were clearing tables and told us to wait. We were seated approximately 10 mins later and our orders were taken 20 mins later. There were other customers who were seated after us being served before us. Our drinks arrived and then we waited approximately 30 mins later for the food. Don’t think it is acceptable being in a restaurant for over an hour before you start eating. The staff weren’t very friendly and knew we were waiting but there was no urgency to serve us. We had to ask where the food was and were told we’d be next. The food arrived almost instantly it was cold so had clearly been sat out the back waiting to be bought to us. Chai lattes were good but not hot enough, the fresh Orange juice was really good. Very much overpriced and not the hype the reviews and photos suggest.

The interior is nice but there are a lot of flies inside. I was constantly fanning them off my face. The restaurant was full of English speaking people who have clearly relied on reviews and come to take photos of the interior and food art. Menu is very american with coffees, syrups & pancakes, waffles not what we expected. We couldn’t wait to pay and leave.

We saw an elderly lady’s chair collapse from beneath her she just missed the table as she hit the floor! The staff rushed to her and the customers helped get her up and the staff did get her another chair.

Don’t waste your time it’s pretentious, a place for bloggers, there is a beautiful place next door and another few next to that which we had tried...

Pretentious cafe, not that friendly tbh. Had to ask twice when I first entered if it was table service. It’s not cosy or welcoming. I get the somewhere that’s it’s one of those trendy places to go to be seen. Full of people wanting to show off. Guys ogling girls type (or maybe that was just the guys outside that I was watching from my window spot) although in general it gives off this vibe. It’s the place that attracts young pretty people, bloggers would love it! Got the feeling it wasn’t somewhere they liked solo people. I waited ages to be acknowledged & just as I was about to get up & leave a girl came over. Felt like I didn’t order enough when the girl said ‘it that it, shall I leave the menu for more!’ My flat white was delivered by a much friendly barista though. And tasted decent. My one star goes to her & the coffee. I got a nice goodbye from her too. I opted for the granola & it arrived looking pretty, but it wasn’t anything special. Yogurt was thin, much like you’d buy in a supermarket. Portion size is small in a shallow bowl & again no real substance to it. Throwing on a few fancy micro leaves didn’t do anything other than make it feel pretentious again! Again I think it’s a place just to go & be seen. Granola yogurt deffo wasn’t worth it. Expensive for the food. And lacked vibe. Quite a small place (about 8 tables inside) has some front outside seating too. I...

I absolutely love Lisbon, even though I don’t live here. I spent a long time choosing a place to have breakfast and came straight here from the airport. Spoiler alert — I never actually got to have breakfast; I left after five minutes.

We came in and asked about a table for two. A very nice girl offered us three options, and we chose the one by the window, asking if we could wait at a nearby table and look through the menu in the meantime. Once our table was ready, the same girl kindly seated us there and said someone would take our order in a couple of minutes.

But a few minutes later, another waitress came up to me — not nearly as pleasant — and asked why I was sitting there. I calmly explained that we had been waiting at the neighboring table for this one all along and had chosen it initially. Her response honestly shocked me so much that I didn’t even want to stay or spend my money there anymore.

She said, “Who even allowed you to sit here? Who did you talk to? This table is for a lady with a child who’s waiting outside.” The funny thing is, that lady actually arrived after me — but apparently that doesn’t matter. I’ve never encountered such rudeness before. The staff should have sorted this out among themselves without involving me. It’s a shame they don’t know such basic things.

To the lady in glasses — hello to you, and thanks for ruining...

HEIM Cafe in Lisbon is an absolute gem of a breakfast spot! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and cozy atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome and comfortable right from the start. But the real star of the show here is the breakfast menu. The food is simply amazing, with a wide range of options to suit all tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, hearty or light, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings at HEIM Cafe. The dishes are beautifully presented, with each ingredient carefully selected and cooked to perfection. The avocado toast is a particular standout, with creamy avocado, perfectly poached eggs, and a generous helping of bacon on top. And the pancakes? They're simply out of this world - fluffy, light, and absolutely delicious. But it's not just the food that makes HEIM Cafe such a special place. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back, with plenty of natural light and comfortable seating that makes you want to linger for hours. And with a great selection of coffee and other beverages to choose from, you can easily while away the morning here. Overall, I can't recommend HEIM Cafe highly enough. If
