I had the pleasure of visiting my sister and colleague Miss Velvet after my working day. I enjoyed my stay from the beginning till the end. The staff is very friendly and kind. The food was delightful but the presentation of drinks could be better. Some details could be improved. But it's still enjoyable, everything was very well done and I understand that each place has its own aesthetic and who am I to judge it, but personally, I'd love to have at least a little slice of fresh strawberry on my strawberry daiquiri or a leaf of fresh mint. Also to mention, servers ask about food restrictions and allergies. It's a great plus.
This day I was in drag and I had a moment when I wanted to wash my hands after a cigarette, and a server kindly escorted me to a ladies ' room without asking me which one I preferred. Everything was perfect, and when I came back to my table, I started writing to my business partners to add Frou Frou to our list of places to go. But since I already knew the way to a restroom, my second visit ended up with giggles from someone in reception commenting that "restroom for a man in an opposite direction". You know, personally, it didn't affect my stay since I enjoyed the service and the show.
You know drag queens just go to the restroom only to check their makeup and their looks, we only can do the "business" when we are out of our drag persona due to uncomfortable clothes. And for a second visit, I just needed a mirror with a good light. I even don't mind going to a man rest restroom if it can offend someone's feelings because I'm also a host but I came as a guest.
So since this inconvenience happened I just want to bring to the attention of the administration about this, hope you can improve it but for now, I cannot recommend this place for LGBTQIA+ people since I'm not sure that they can be offended by someone of staff based on their appearance.
Hope you will bring this topic to your next briefing ASAP to avoid this future inconveniences.
Wish your place lots of success.

Read moreWhat a fantastic show- the performers are incredible, I've never seen drag like this, and I'm from San Francisco! No lip syncing, they are really singing, and with obvious extensive voice training. Really remarkable!
Food was fine- Chinese, Mandarin, pretty standard but a little pricey. Wines were good, but I was surprised the Sommelier didn't know the varietal or region of a wine she recommended- she had to check the label, and even then had trouble figuring it out. I'm from California wine country and enjoying learning more about Portugese wines, and I was hoping for more knowledge from her.
Service was good but a bit rushed- we got our appetizers before we got our wine, for instance, and entrees came out before we finished the appetizers.
Then, I realized why... they wanted to push us through our meal because they expected to get another seating out of our table. We sat at 7:15, the show started at 8:00, and at 9:15 they presented us with our 400 euro bill and told us we'd need to leave- halfway through the show- because the table was booked at 9:30. That was SUPER disappointing. I've never been asked to vacate a table in Europe before. We saw 4 songs from one performer, then the main performer took the stage and we saw 2 songs from her- then were asked to leave.
I would have booked a later reservation if I'd realized we'd be expected to leave halfway through the show! They should at least have a bar or cocktail rail they can move people to if they need the table back. I'm in the restaurant business, I understand wanting to turn tables, but we had half a bottle of 130 euro wine left and expected to enjoy it and see the rest of the show.
I still recommend you go- because WOW what incredible performances- but definitely do not book an early reservation, as you will be kicked out 2 hours later, halfway...
Read moreI have traveled all over the world, and I have yet to see an experience such as the one I had at JncQuoi Frou Frou. I came by myself and was looking for an uplifting experience, just say the least I was most definitely uplifted starting from the servers. The experience is one filled with attention to detail personalization, and one of celebration. as a member of the LGBTQ community, what I love, the most was the feeling of welcomeness, and in inclusiveness that was driven by the participation of Miss velvet in the entire evening. Personally, I don’t attend drag shows, but her performance was exquisite, professional, and endearing when you travel alone, you may often overthink your decisions of what you spend your evenings Miss Velvet help me forget about the world and simply enjoyed a unique and exquisite dining experience. I cannot wait to come back along or with friends to celebrate another full experience and this wonderful restaurant Kudos to Paula- I already admire her incredible intellect for creating such unique experiences in her Unicorn business 🦄. It is my hope that within my lifetime I am able to write about her businesses and showcase them to the worl, as the world needs to come to Portugal and...
