Hi there,
I am editing my review since you requested it. I originally did not go too deep cause I do not want to affect the staff, who were nice and friendly to me (just one of them was rude).
I had been there once before and the food was ok, so I decided to go back and try something different from the menu.
I ordered the zucchini fritters with salmon. The dish looked pretty, but it had maybe one or two sprouts as decoration. Somehow I was expecting a bit more ‘greens’ as it was written on the menu. Any case I proceeded to eat the food just to find out the fritters were completely raw on the inside and had a rather unpleasant texture and flavor, it was like eating dough, with cream on top and a poached egg on top. The mix of them all felt unfortunately a bit off and I kindly asked the staff member who originally was taking my order and bringing the food, if this texture was normal.
She seemed confused and went to get another member of the staff, whom instead of trying to change the plate or cook them more just replied with a dry and rude “that’s how they are” and left.
I started feeling sick in my stomach but kept eating as it is quite a pricy establishment for the rest of local coffee shops ran by local people. By the end i stayed a bit longer sitting down cause of the sickness, when leaving the stomach pain was getting stronger.
After stepping out I quickly ran into the staff member who denied any faultiness in the dish and I told her I was feeling sick and pain in my stomach and that I wish this would’ve been changed.
She had again a rather dry facial expression and no reply.
To this day I feel sick and I visited your establishment on Sunday. It was clear to me that “the client is right” is definitely not a concept in this place, I would’ve been happy if the dish was changed, or I had a coffee offered for free. Instead I left with an angry person looking at me and a nauseous feeling that lasted long and I spent a considerable amount of money for this experience.
Yes, I give 1 star to the atmosphere cause I felt disrespected by this behavior and felt uncomfortable in this place after it.
Hope this...

Read moreWe had a great time at Co-op Layday. It was very busy when we arrived, which speaks to its popularity, but despite the crowd, the staff remained friendly and attentive throughout our visit.
The food was genuinely excellent — fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Everything we ordered hit the mark.
One thing that really stood out was the service. Our waitress was incredibly sweet, even with so many tables to manage. We accidentally ordered the wrong drink. We told them we were happy to pay for it, but they insisted we didn’t have to. That kind of gesture shows a real commitment to good hospitality, and it left a strong impression.
The atmosphere was lively and energetic, perfect if you enjoy a bustling setting with a good buzz. It’s clearly a place people love coming to, and it’s easy to see why — great food, great service, and a warm, welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area....
