Summary: Bad margarita, served Doritos, rude service, do not go here.

Let me preface this by saying this is my first bad review. I never make these, however I would like to warn others so you do not have to share my frustration.

We went for margaritas, chips, and guacamole. We were not happy with the result.

We ordered the coconut passion fruit margarita. i love sweet drinks, so i was excited to try it. It not only was too sweet (which i never have experienced, i love sweet normally) but also just tasted bad. We vocalized this to the waitress, however she didn’t say much. No questions, apologies or solution, she just mostly nodded.

This was very frustrating to me because I never vocalize when I do not like something out of not wanting to make others feel bad, however I finally got the courage to. I then got essentially no response, however I thought she would just take it off the bill. She did not take it off the bill, even after we asked. So I paid 8 euros for a drink rhat I took one sip of. Maybe this is only a thing in the US to not charge for dissatisfied customers (only on specific items, not the whole bill), however she also was not kind about it.

Chips… They advertise house made chips with their guacamole. They did have a few of these, however also provided Doritos. I did not go out to eat to eat Doritos…

Also ordered nacho cheese. Not sure what we got, however it was not this.

I led this restaurant with 28 less euros and lots of frustration. The owner was kind at least (not kind enough to swap out or not charge for the drink though), however the waitress was not. DO NOT go here. You will...

A Taste of Mexico in Lisbon!

I recently dined at La Fugitiva with my other 3 friends, and I must say it was an incredible experience. As someone who's always on the hunt for authentic Mexican cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in Lisbon that comes very close to the real deal.

The food here is nothing short of amazing. From the moment I took the first bite, I could tell that the flavors were carefully crafted to capture the essence of Mexican cuisine. Whether it was the perfectly seasoned tacos, the flavorful enchiladas, or the mouthwatering guacamole, every dish transported me to Mexico.

What truly sets this restaurant apart, aside from the fantastic food, are the drinks. They undoubtedly serve the best drinks in town! The margaritas were the highlight for me – perfectly balanced and refreshing, they complemented the dishes impeccably.

The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it an ideal place for a casual dinner or a special celebration. The staff were nice, but could be more attentive and knowledgeable, but were always ready to offer recommendations.

If you're in Lisbon and craving Mexican cuisine, look no further than La Fugitiva. It's a hidden gem that delivers on its promise of fantastic food and unbeatable drinks. They have a happy hour also!! I can't wait to return and savor more of their culinary delights. This place truly deserves all the...

Food was probably the best thing about this restaurant, the service was terrible from both waiters. The waitress was abrupt and short tempered when asking where we wanted to sit. We waited ages for our order to be taken, and for the table to be cleaned. we were sat outside and the table was wobbly, when we asked for something to put under the leg of the table the waiter never got back to us. The QR code on the table did not work and when we asked for a menu the waitress rudely pointed out that we had to scan the QR code without taking into account what we said about it not working. She eventually brought us the menu on another QR code, which then . The food was quick to come out. Whilst we were eating a rubbish van came to collect the rubbish next to the restaurant which was not a pleasant site. The waitress also forgot to bring out some chips for the table next to us. When coming to pay for the food they did not have an paper for a receipt, which meant we had to blindly trust the waiter. The waitress spent more time talking to the customers then taking orders. There were empty tables inside the restaurant and yet queues of people waiting outside being told it would take...

La Fugitiva is a cute taco spot on a lively road in the center of Lisbon. The vibes are great as they have a bar, good seating, and they play great music. I started with an horchata which was super creamy and had a strong cinnamon taste which was great. The only flaw was that the drink was half ice so make sure to ask for light ice when ordering. For food I got the octopus taco, the esquites, and some chips and guac. The octopus taco was FIREE. The octopus was soo tender and not chewy at all. It had plenty of sauces and the taco was THICC but when it all combined into one bite it was delicious. The esquites were ok in my opinion. They are not similar to Mexican elote which is way creamier. The esquites was a little watery, but it did have great flavor. The water was personally off putting for me, but others may like it. The chips and guac were pretty good. The guac tasted really fresh and had lots of tomatoes onion and lemon juice which added plenty of complexity. The chips were basic but not bad. OVERALL, for La Fugitiva’s great tacos and vibes I would definitely recommend it others. It’s definitely not an authentic restaurant but it was still pretty delicious!

We visited La Fugitiva Taco Bar twice during our stay in Lisbon and had a great experience both times. The first visit was more spontaneous — we stopped by just for a margarita and a light bite. The avocado salad was fresh and tasty, and the margarita was perfectly balanced. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere so much that we knew we’d come back. On our second visit, we ordered a full meal- a mix of chicken and beef tacos along with nachos. Everything was delicious, well-seasoned, and served beautifully. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. What really stood out to us was the ambiance: colorful decor, good music, and a fun, family-friendly vibe. It’s a small place but full of energy and personality. One small note — they do charge a bit for a jug of water, which surprised us at first, but it’s understandable. Just something to be aware of if you’re used to free tap water. Overall, we highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and looking for a fun, tasty, and vibrant place to eat or drink. We’re already looking forward to visiting again on our next trip to Lisbon!
