A very popular pizza spot in the centre! Upon arrival you provide your name and size of your party to the host who will write it on list on the door, then you wait outside to have your name called for your table. We were a party of two, on a Monday evening around 8.30, we waited for 30 mins for a table but just grabbed a drink from a nearby bar whilst we waited.
We had looked at the menu whilst we waited so knew what to order when we sat down and ordered promptly. We chose the spicy tomato pizza (adding mozzarella) and the branca (mozzarella, caramelised onions, lemon and ricotta) and ordered both of the dips (tomato and smoked ranch). It was a short wait til our pizzas were served, around 15 minutes, and you’re able to watch the chefs prepare your pizza from start to finish in the open kitchen within the restaurant. The restaurant itself is small but has an authentic rustic feel, in an old building with high ceilings, and patio doors which open wide onto the busy street outside.
The spicy tomato pizza was our favourite! The pickled chillies gave it a surprisingly strong heat and the tomato base was delicious. The branca was also good, however as with many white pizzas it was quite rich but was a good contrast to the spicy tomato pizza. The dips were tasty, the tomato dip seemed very similar to the pizza base (unsure if it was the same) and the smoked ranch was also nice. Only criticism would be that the dips were €3 each which seems quite steep for two small sauces on the side.

Read moreLupita was a great surprise. I ordered the Margherita pizza and the "Our Spinach Pizza" - both were very tasty, with fresh ingredients and perfectly sized portions. The spinach pizza in particular really impressed me - the combination of spinach, ricotta, and lime was unexpectedly amazing.
The staff was super friendly and helpful - easy to talk to, even joke around with. The wait time for the food was very short, which was a nice bonus. I’ve heard there can be lines to get in, but we were lucky and got a table right away.
The place is warm and cozy - literally, since you sit in the same room as the pizza oven, haha. It's a small space, but there’s enough room to sit comfortably and enjoy your food with a view of the street. The ceiling has beautiful decorative details, which add a lot of charm.
Prices were fair - not too high, not too low, just right for the quality of the pizza and ingredients used. The location is also great - very close to Time Out Market and right next to the famous tram that climbs the steep hill. It’s the perfect spot for a delicious pizza and a drink, which you can enjoy in the room next door.
I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone near the waterfront looking for...
Read moreOne of the most on point brand experiences we've had... plus the pizza is delicious! The motto is something like "long lines, uncomfortable seats, and burned crust, see you again soon" and it lives up to this. Don't go if you're not OK with a little humor and a commitment to the way they do things.
For example, we asked if we could get one pizza with two types of toppings for the kids. The wait staff/host looked as us bored and after a brief pause, gave us a firm "no" and that was that. We asked for something else and once again, we got a laissez-faire response. And on the way out, the same wait staff/host made fun of us for eating fast and gave me grief for eating all of my kids pizza!!! It was hilarious.
While this behavior would usually be a negative for a restaurant, in context, it was absolutely brilliant. The bottom line, the commitment to the brand is world-class and it made the experience so much more than eating pizza... which is delicious btw.
