LaPutaria - Portugal´s Most Controversial Bakery — Restaurant in Lisbon

Ah, the age-old art of playful irreverence! As one meanders through the labyrinthine alleys of Lisbon, one might chance upon a rather cheekily named establishment: La Putaria. The name itself is a mischievous nod, which in both Portuguese and Spanish alludes to, how shall I put it delicately, the bawdier side of life.

Now, any British gentleman or lady might raise an eyebrow at such a forthright moniker, but this establishment, true to its name, offers a whimsical take on desserts. The pièce de résistance here is the waffles, sculpted with a certain audaciousness into rather... intimate shapes, shall we say? Phallic and yonic waffles, to be exact. While the idea might sound rather scandalous to some, it’s all in good jest and, importantly, the confections are genuinely tasty.

However, every rose has its thorn, and in the case of La Putaria, it's the rather sparse seating arrangement. One would indeed fancy a cosy nook to savour their naughty nibbles, especially after an arduous day of traversing Lisbon's cobblestoned streets.

In essence, La Putaria offers a delightful twist on the traditional waffle, served with a side of playful raunchiness. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it’s a cheeky pit-stop that adds to the rich tapestry of Lisbon's diverse culinary scene. The tease is there, but not the orgasm.

It is more for fun than the taste. Creative and ok for one time only, maybe for a photo to post on instegram.

Too sweet, no special flavors, no place to sit or even stand to eat, just take and go. Very childish flavors for a dessert that's suppose to be with an adult theme.

The design of the place is not finished but maybe they aren't planning to finish it for whatever reason, halfway, just like the flavor of the ... dish(?).

It is a nice and interesting idea, but need to be developed much more. But it has potential so hopefully they are...
