Yeah… no. This place isn’t it. My wife and I are huge ramenheads, and if you’re like us, then you ought to look elsewhere. Never have I tried a more tasteless and baseless tonkotsu ramen… the pork portions were super thin and small, which was predictable and which is why I asked for extra soup and extra noodles, the noodles were just plain bland. What they did was bring out literally a separate bowl full of tasteless soup and another one full of noodles. Genius service… who does that???? Who does not understand that the customer is simply asking for adding more ingredients to the same damn dish! Not to mention that with the restaurant being barely half full - we had to wait for about half an hour for our food. I ended up adding soy sauce and hot sauce to the soup to add some kind of flavor. Wife’s ramen was a tiny bit better but she just as well wasn’t impressed. If you want to try some really good JAPANESE ramen - look up Kokoro Ramen Bar in Saldanha. Prices are a quarter cheaper, portions are nice and filling and the flavor is just mouth watering - you’ll be wanting seconds. Skip this place. It’s just for show due to...
Read moreI recently visited Shifu Ramen and had a varying culinary experience, but what remained consistent was the excellent service and unique atmosphere. The staff was incredibly accommodating; they even allowed me to park my scooter inside the restaurant at the entrance, which I found to be above and beyond in terms of hospitality.
As an anime enthusiast, I loved the decor! They really went the extra mile to immerse diners in a fun atmosphere. Not to mention, they offer specialty sodas named after anime characters—think One Piece, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon—and these drinks were absolutely delicious.
Now, onto the food. While the pork ramen left a lot to be desired (it was quite bland), the fried chicken appetizer and signature dessert were phenomenal. If you’re coming here, those are the menu items you won’t want to miss.
In summary, though the main course was underwhelming, the service, ambiance, appetizers, and desserts made up for it. If you’re a fan of anime and looking for a mixed dining experience with a side of great service, Shifu Ramen may be...
Read moreI had an amazing experience at Manga Ramen Saldanha! This place is an absolute must-visit for any ramen enthusiast in Lisbon.
The moment you walk in, you're hit with this incredible, fun vibe. The decor is a standout, filled with manga posters and miniatures that truly transport you. And yes, the robot server that brings your food is a super cool and unique touch! The human staff are also fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The service was quick and attentive, even though the restaurant was busy. The ramen is the main event and it does not disappoint. I ordered the Ramen Spicy and it was absolutely delicious, with a rich and savory broth. The menu has a great variety, so there's something for everyone. To finish, the mochi was the perfect sweet treat.
Overall, the combination of delicious food, a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, and great service makes Manga Ramen Saldanha a truly memorable spot. I'll definitely be back to try more...
