Made the big mistake to subscribe to their "Dinner in the Dark" event. We had looked forward to an eye-opening experience of the sense, and left disappointed and with the feeling like we've been fooled and almost robbed. Started of with being informed that no drinks are included in the 40 Euro prize for the event. But okay, been waiting for an experience like this for a while, so no worries. The starter: an empanada. Good, but nothing exciting when eating blindly. Second course: Fried potatoes, onions, pepper, beef. Clearly Lomo Saltado. We realize, this event isn't made for an eye-opening experience and test to your senses at all, but just to eat the normal restaurant food with blindfolds on. Dessert: a mediocre Mousse au Chocolat. After getting out of there, a look at the menu confirmed what we had assumed. They just picked up 3 basic items on their menu, cooked them up in bulk and served them to the people that had come hoping for a unique experience (and willing to pay a high price for it)
Now the biggest joke of the night: The 3 items on the menu ordered individually would cost 26 Euros per person. Rather than offering somewhat of a discount for a 3-course-menu as most restaurants would, here we've paid 40 Euros each, merely for the "experience" of eating it with a blindfold on. And the greed reaches a level at which they can't even offer a single beer or other drink as part of the menu price, but charge horrendous prices for every drink consumed.
As much as they've wanted to sell it, this restaurant did not care at all about trying to create a unique and interesting experience for their customers. All they care for is making the most money while putting the least possible effort in creating something...
Read moreI chose this place as it was the most highly rated on google in the Lx Factory area however I feel it was overpriced and not worth it. On the plus side the place is pleasing to the eye. A very cool Instagram friendly aesthetic. We got there not long after opening so were the first customer so cannot comment on the usual ambience. The al pastor tacos were food. Very tender juicy flavourful pork that filled up the taco.
The rest was not so pleasing. The tempura prawn tacos had flavourless batter and was oil logged. I ordered a sausage sandwich starter for my daughter which was warm (not fresh) sausage. The bread was also not fresh and the cheese was stale and barely melted. Please see the pics it was just about edible.
Next thing to warn about it the nachos with guacamole and cheese that are on each table: I assumed they were complimentary but they are not. They are 4.50 Euro and this is not mentioned. I wouldn’t have minded so much but the cheese sauce has two pieces of soggy taco at the bottom that I hadn’t dropped in!!! Who knows how long that had been there considering that the restaurant had just opened!
All things considered I would not recommend this place at all unless you are starving and feel like wasting money. Overpriced rubbish for...
Read moreWe ended up here after maybe 20minutes of walking around and searching for free table in any of the restaurants in LX factory.
This is place is also pretty full but it definitely was because of the lunch time.
Staff was from the start the very best (and I mean that!) experience in this establishment - extremely kind, cheerful (even after a little incident of “sugar in mojito” on the table next to us - there was no sugar in their drink but the girl was a bit out of line).
For drinking, beer and frozen margaritha were our choices - good stuff, both of it but the drink is pretty overpriced.
For starter we went for Cheese Empanadas - very tasty but toooo little for that price.
Main dish - ceviches with salmon, well seasoned, good chunks of salmon but again tooo little portion. I went with Vegetarian buritto and this is the key for my disappointment. It was just a rice with oily vegetables without even a bit of salt, pepper and flavour. Even the wrap was made in wrong way. At least the portion was a bit bigger (portion of no taste).
Food & portions - 3 / 5 Prices - 1 /...
