O Gaiteiro — Restaurant in Lisbon

It’s a small and very familiar restaurant, that offers super delicious seafood (but also meat dishes) for a very reasonable price. We had shrimps, shrimp rice and a grilled swordfish, wine & beer and finished with an orange cake, a flan and ginjinha. Everything was super delicious, the owner and his staff was super friendly and familiar with us and our baby. We will definitely come back and … if you are in beautiful Lisbon, don’t miss the chance to eat here!

Update: We were having lunch three days in a row and what can we say … the food and the hospitality are amazing!...

Me and my husband had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, the food was good to be fair but we were brought snacks without being told they were not part of Our meal and we got billed for them. Not having ordered them we asked the waiter to revise our bill, to which she brought out the manager who was extremely rude to us and asked us where we were from. A racist and unrelated question you simply do not ask in response to such an issue. Where i am from doesn’t prevent me from getting good service and not getting ripped off. I have to give this...

The only decent thing was food. Even though my meal’s potatoes was also badly burned. Staff make it feel like we were a burden to them by acting very rude. Like others, we were not informed before lunch that we aren’t able to pay with card and we had to go searching for an ATM. Please take a note and step to the 21th century. Worst part anyway was the toilet. It was super dark and it was hard to see anything, but unluckily I noted two huge cocroaches walking in the toilet. Hopefully those were the only ones in the restaurant. Definitely...
